Deal says 256GB, but image shows 128GB.
Then again, the 256GB picture shows $29.10c

  • Are these any more reliable than Samsung Plus

    • I personally won't touch them with even a 10m pole.

On two separate occasions on two different cameras, the whole trip photos just disappeared and never recovered back.

      Very unreliable from my experience.

      • On two separate occasions on two different cameras, the whole trip photos just disappeared and never recovered back.

That's ok as your daily backups would have seen maximum one days photos lost. And if you didn't backup on the first trip surely you would on the second.

        Very unreliable from my experience.

I have over 25 various Lexar microSD cards both professional and performance 633 and some 300's. Used in dash cams, cameras, video cameras etc and never ever had a problem with any of them. They rank highly on Amazon as well.

Edit: I haven't purchased any since late 2007 so the latest ones may be different.

        • What do you use to back up if you're away from a computer for a week or so? Was recently camping and wanting to back up photos, but don't want to take the weight of an extra computer. I think I'll make sure my next camera has 2 SD slots for easy backup.

          • @wittyusername: I travel with my laptop but you can backup to your phone or use a USB hub, a card reader and an external SSD for example with your phone.

If you power the hub you could use a regular hard drive.

You can also buy devices that have a harddrive or SSD installed, you insert the card and they backup automatically.

Also some wifi 3/4G devices let you backup from a phone or other wifi device to an internal microSD card.

Just a few ways to do it.

I use one of these. Just insert the memory card and press a button and it'll copy the card to the drive.

No idea, but in case anyone isn't aware, Micron sold the Lexar brand to Longsys in 2017. The ex-Lexar execs then started ProGrade.

Basically they used to be a household name. Now they're a Chinese company.

For me personally, with the solid offerings from Samsung and SanDisk, it's hard to justify lexar.

  • It is rated as V30 so is good for 4K video recording at data speed 200mb/s

I ordered the 256gb when they went down to $31 and they cancelled my order after sitting on it for 3 weeks. Then I reordered at a higher price and eventually received 128gb cards. Had to send them back to the US for a refund. I think something is wrong with this listing.

  • Any reason to buy over the Samsung Cards?

    • +3

Lexar aren't what they used to be.

Sold off to a chinese company with no previous memory experience, reliability has gone down hill if you check out reviews.

Absolutely no reason to buy this over Samsung, or Sandisk for that matter. Those are the only 2 brands I'd be buying today.
