      You could but why would you? I don't believe the points change for flight sales so you're probably better off using it for a time when flights are not on sale.

    I am flexible with dates: what is the best way to use this site to find the best fare? I just want:

    • About August 13th,
    • Sydney to San Fran (actually preferably LA, but I don't really care),
    • Returning as late as possible (so sometime next April/May as they'll only let us book a year from today)
    • (and yeah, ideally Qantas)

    Other sites show me best prices on dates surrounding my approx dates, but this one the grid just says "search" and I have no way of really knowing what's cheapest other than to search every date-combo!… what am I missing?
