Oy! The CHUTZPAH of MyRepublic.... after Over 1 week's wait & STILL COUNTING for Outage to be Restored

(Originally posted to an old 2016 thread
from a time when MyRepublic was having
issues w/ Optus provisioning delays, etc.)

I feel like I've been living under a rock,
due an Outage in midst of our Contract

So far, mit's been OVER A WEEK ALREADY
& we're STILL WAITING for "OUTAGE" to end!

Our Mobile data won't last forever!

SHOULD WE ALL LODGE TIO COMPLAINTS
to get MyRepublic off their tushies? or what?

We've been in a longer Contract fr 2018 &,

a week ago,… BAM!… 'had our 1st Outage.

They say it could be RAIN. filling NBN-box(!)
(altho we've Not had That much rain here)
but Ticket # eMail's Subj shows "Optus" &
not synching

New modem crawls from Ingram Micro
(got it Yesterday). It didn't solve the issue

No response from Josch (tech support),
after several form-eMails: "We're working on it"

Now, I read of issues with Optus…

Earlier, we were told to specify "Telstra Sydney"
when doing SpeedTests (should ,I from this,
assume they once bought Data from Telstra?
rather than Optus)

In recent call they named a Data provider
(other than Optus).

Looks like we are waiting for Optus to provision
our EXISTING service, just to End the Outage!

Who knows why Fixing an Outage should take
SOOOOO LONG!

Also, yesterday, we rec'd an interesting Offer:

  • Pay for 12 mon's UP-FRONT, Get 2 mon. Free

(For us: Pay $840 to save $140, in round no.'s;
that's the Chutzpah we suggested in Subj.)

We have until end of June to decide…

What if its Optus issues "take MyRepublic down"
before of the 14 mon. period? Would we lose $$?

Are there any hints of financial issues w/ the Co.?
Eg, How's their cash-flow?

Are their current Prices considered competitive?

Is this an Offer others have rec'd? [after Outages]

    As ununderstandable as ever

  • Ow my brain!

  • I was with MyRepublic 2 years ago when they had all their speed issues. Went to the Ombudsman to get out of their contract, they just weren't living up to basic service levels.

It does not rhyme. Please rewrite your poem.

Too thin; didn't read. Was this written with tweets?

  • MyRepubic came into Australia end of 2016, boasting they are going to show big Telcos how to do NBN properly, and cheaply. They failed miserably.

  • I can't understand this post, but I am with MyRepublic and don't have a problem.

    • me too, they were super fast the first 6-12m and then things seemed to slow down a bit for period but at the moment they seem good.

    • I calls 'em
      as I sees 'em

      If perfprmance changes,
      so will my calls…

BTW my NBN50 was restored Today
      (after Outage from 18 May)

      Solved when NBB Tech removed
      the ancient (ADSL-era) Filter
      from the wall… leaving an
RJ-11 socket to plug new modem
      into… Then she worked fine.

      WHY DIDN'T MyRepublic tell me
to try that… I could have
done it myself on 20th or 21st…!!!

      • I calls 'em
        as I sees 'em

Which is my point exactly. I am warning that your calls should best be totally avoided or taken with a large dose of Molten Salt.
