Fox Sports seem to be best at the live audience game. Get to watch the nrl game before hand with free pizza and beer, and then get to be part of the audience for the show. Their shows are done live as well, so no different to watching at home.

Oh really? I thought it would be quicker.
Double time isn't so bad, it takes time to setup. Some are great and have comedians through the set ups. I can't see these being that good.
Felt like trained monkeys in a zoo… been told to cheer/clap with a guy employed to be head cheerleader, who throws out candy at the crowd.

There have been posts on ozbargain before (12 months ago?) about how bad the Ninja Warrior filming was - I think people had to stay until 2am…

I've been to TV show recordings.
These things take almost double the time to shoot. You're told to act like you're having a good time. It honestly felt like unpaid work.
I wanted to leave, but I felt bad, so I stayed. I personally wouldn't do it again. Not for free anyway.
