Not everyone can afford expensive stuff.
The Twinings 100 packs go on sale regularly at $5 - so another $2.50 extra. Would that really break the bank to pay another 2.5cents per cup of tea to get nicer tea?
Tbh, I don't find much difference in the taste.
Double the price, no difference to my palate, lucky me I can save

If price is the decisive point, you can buy a 100 pack of home brand tea from Coles or Woolworths or Aldi for under $2.
Lipton is not better taste-wise than those home brands. Certainly, if you can't taste much difference between Lipton and Twinings, there is no chance you would taste the difference between Lipton and the home brand teas.
You've convinced me to go home brand haha. I actually prefer twinings for every other tea (chamomile, green etc) over Lipton. Black tea I usually find has too strong of a taste, and the Lipton lighter taste with the (slightly questionable) citric aftertaste works for me. If I was to make a milky tea though, Lipton sucks.
Not sure if anyone else gets the citric aftertaste from lipton or just me.

I got this at work, wouldn't even have it even if WW pay me $2.50.
Work usually buys the bulk variety which tastes like tea dust swept up from the processing room floor after the machinery is brushed clean.
These retail packages are somewhat passable.

Twinings is so much better even if it is normally double the price on sale.
I always use two of these tea bags in one cup.
For me, one Twinings English Breakfast or one Dilmah black tea bag provides a deeper and richer taste.

Dilmah $3 for 100 bags. 50c cheaper but a MUCH better tasting tea.
Probably cheap because this tea tastes like crap!
