AEG 9 Piece Brushless Fusion/Force Kit $1,899 with 2x9.0Ah Batteries and 18V Compressor via Redemption @ Bunnings

100

First post so, hold my beer.

It's the usual price but the redemption gear is 'valued' at $737. The 2x9.0ah batteries pushed it over the line for me.

Seems like good value if you're after a bunch of tools. I'm replacing all my old ozito stuff which has served me well but showing it's weaknesses. Wasn't in stock locally but special orders tracked one down for me.

Ignoring bag and charger it works out about $126 per skin and battery. Not bad considering most skins included retail for $300+.

There is also a new similar kit for $1,999 which has their new driver and wrench plus some other differences, but I don't think is quite as good. https://www.bunnings.com.au/aeg-18v-6-0-3-0ah-9-piece-fusion…

Hi stuggling to find any stock in Brisbane, I'm iforgotmysocks.

It would be better if there were 3 or 4 smaller batteries like that other link but not lose out on capacity.

  • A good deal if you need all of these tools - the drills might be overkill and the dust extractor isn't worth that much. Do any of these tools actually use the compressor that you get by redemption?

    • Yeah the vacuum is more of just a vacuum than a dust extractor. I think it's the cheap thing they chuck in just so it's not an 8 piece kit. None of the included tools use the compressor, it's more for small air tool jobs where there's no power. Or inflating tyres and stuff.

      • Like putting cable ties in your 100 piece set. But yeah I would ignore that when working out the price per skin.

        • Yeah, it sells for $129 on it's own which is near the average per tool, but the dual charger which I did ignore sells for $219 and also charges two batteries at once which is good.

          • @ToyInTheAttic2: Where is the serial number for the bag and trim router?? Can't register the tools and redeem the compressor!!

@Hoju88: I didn't register the bag but you can slide the router body up out of the base to get to the serial number. Took me a bit to work out.

  • There's also this 58v blower kit for $399 that comes with a bonus 58v battery ($279 retail) if anyone's after two 58v batteries. https://www.bunnings.com.au/aeg-58v-4-0ah-brushless-jet-blow…

  • Crikey thats a lot of battery power. 2x6Ah, 4Ah, 2x9Ah. Those 9Ah packs are enormous so probably not easy to weild on smaller tools.

Good for the circular saw and recip saw. Those tools do not need to be weight balanced.

Also great on a cordless mitre saw.

      • Yeah only wouldn't like that on the drills, everything else would be fine - particularly the circular saw as you chew through battery with that.

        • Ive read that the 9ah batteries dont fit in this circular saw which is a bummer. Design flaw apparently. The 6ah fusion batteries are powerful enough though

Why is "Onions" a tag for this deal? I've removed it but happy to put it back if there is a good reason.

Mostly because I couldn't tag Bunnings for some reason and it seemed appropriate. Happy to go without though.

      • So hold the onions? Do you want any five’s with that?
