Lol - reverse Google image search some of those pics. Some are just stock photos with the heater superimposed, this one is hilarious!

Over $500 for 800w of heating.,. no thanks. This won't produce heat any better than a $20 one from Target. They'll both turn 800w of electricity into heat at the same 100% efficiency.

    • this one shoots infrared

Well a radiator type heater converts some energy into light rather than heat so that may not be true.

      • +1

What do you think happens to that light energy if it doesn't leave the room? It will get converted to heat too.

        • ???

    • The irradiance will be more directly heating you comparared to a hot air blower that would be by conduction.

Lol at anyone who thinks this is more effective than a $20 heater!!.. reminds me of this! https://youtu.be/JnM4UcSDDpk

        • I could say you're in a cold room and could either get warm in the infrared heat of the sunlight coming in the window, or instead be near a hot air blower trying that's working on heating up the entire air in the room.

  • Honest question, if I aim my infrared remote at it, can I destroy the world?

    • +1

Yes, worse outcome than googling google.

That's a lot of money for 800W of heating power. Buy yourself an old 50" plasma TV off Gumtree. Similar heating capability for a lot less dollar.

Yeah or just get an AMD video card….
