After many years of leaching from this site and saving countless thousands of dollars buying things I didn’t need, I have found a deal and thought I would repay the favour.

Logitech G433 7.1 Surround Sound Wired Gaming Headset $79 At JB Hi-Fi.

The cheapest ai found online was Umart at $99 https://www.umart.com.au/Logitech-G433-7-1-Gaming-Headset-Bl…

Maybe price beat at Officeworks $168 https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/logitech-s…

Thanks Op, I agree, if it was not for Ozbargain I would of not spent a lot of money on stuff I would not have bought.
Like the Youi, its not what you spent, it how much you saved!

  • This will work with the Xbox One?

How does this fare against the likes of much more expensive headsets, like the Astro A50. Obviously, this is wired and is a fraction of the price but is the sound comparable?

Be aware this is simulated 7.1 surround sound, it will only be "surround" if you plug it into your pc via usb and use the surround software.

    • Ah, so none on Xbox one?

      • you just get normal stereo sound on all consoles.

        • Hasn't Xbox got Windows Sonic and/or Dolby Atmos for Headphones native output though? Don't own one.

I know PS4 does not do any virtual surround without "special" Sony headphones.

@Diji1: These headphones and many like them only have surround sound via USB using the included headphone software. From the JB Hi-fi Page:

"G433 operates in stereo mode only via analog cable. "

It's the software that makes it surround, the headphones only have 2 drivers so they can only ever be stereo unless you simulate surround with software.

            Edit: Typo

            • @acidantics:

only have surround sound via USB

No, they can play surround sound from any source via the analogue cable which is why I'm asking about the Xbox.

    • Is that a bad thing if its simulated

    • Is it any better than a non advertised 7.1 headset ie. HyperX Cloud stinger combined with a software like Razer Surround Pro?

      • i wanna now this pls

i went and bought one for my son. nice packaging :) that's all I know and understand about the headphones :))

  • Don't recommend. Bought one yesterday and got a refund today. Not sure if it was faulty or Logitech has horrible driver/software but it would not work on PC as it should. Just try googling "Logitech headphones surround sound not working" and you'll get similar issues with not only this model but quite a few others. Never had a problem with other headphones and I've tried clean install of drivers (both audio and USB) as well.

  • I went ahead and bought these from officeworks for 75.05. Material of headset took getting used to but is quite nice. I use a pair of bose qc35 II as a main and these are like 75 % as good but for the price theyre great. Surround sound is 8/10, the usb dac is also great. Would recommend
