It's a pity it doesn't support aptX-LL like the JBL SoundGear. It'd work great for watching TV without having to turn the TV speakers up.

    • But these sound great. i bought last week on Gumtree, i have these on my neck all day literally. For someone who wanna listen to music anytime but tired of keeping headphones on ear, these are best alternative.

    • I completely agree with you.
But jbl soundgear doesnt sound as good dude… I have tried both

What's the point of having more codec support when the sound quality is inferior coz of the physical components.

It's not about sound quality, aptX-LL is specifically designed for low latency. If you're just listening to music then it doesn't really matter - I would probably just get the Bose. But when watching TV (where the JBL's sound quality would be perfectly adequate), it can get annoying if the audio is constantly out-of-sync with the video. Some people don't mind the added latency though, so the Bose could work just fine for them.

oh I get it now… thankfully have an oasis transmitter. but for me , its not for TV, its more for music and calls

Can I get Dolby Surround if I pair this with my new Bose sunnies?

BTW you should be able to stack it with the Spend $80 get $10 back AMEX offer. It has to be done in-store though, which means you'll miss out on ShopBack.

Alternatively if you can find a Harvey Norman store with stock, get them to price-match DJ, add two sim cards to get it over $350, and use this AMEX deal to get $50 back.

    • Hardly normal are useless, tried to price match and they pointed out flatly “price way below retail price”. I immediately purchase from David Jones. Knowing that David Jones has way much better customer service than crappy HN.

Took eug's advice & I got em priced matched from HN (+$3 cable that i wanted).. no issues at all.
Pretty good deal for $297 i must say

        • If my local HN had stock, I would be very tempted to get it myself. :)

          • @eug: Thanks for your advice dude … saved me a few more $$$
Didn't know about the amex deal until you pointed it.

        • Lucky you. I wouldn’t bother after the online sales gave poor excuse saying it’s way below their cost. So I’d just grab from David Jones whilst I can. Looks like David Jones expired the sales. Using it right now and am very happy with the purchase.

  • what…. are… those?

I believe the correct term is "Neck Speakers"

  • How do you connect them to your TV though?
None of my TV-s have 3.5mm output for bt-dongle. Somehow optical output is the only sound-out that new TVs seem to have.

How do you connect them to your TV though?

      With a low-latency transmitter like the TT-BA09.

The BTA version of the JBL SoundGear includes an aptX-LL low-latency transmitter, but I'm not sure how good it is. One review showed that if you go out of range and come back in, the sound gets messed up.

      • Do you know if it can be used as optical In - > 3.5mm out?

I want to connect my speakers to the tv, but tv does not have AUX.

Nope, for that you'd want something like this.

$20 on Aliexpress for same technology, different sound quality, different bluetooth ability.

    • Looks like JBL clone. Are they any good?

    • Has anyone used these before?

I'm looking for a set of headphones for a toddler to watch endless wiggles on a long flight…

    • Ive never used these before. I can state that you always get what you paid for. Bluetooth pairing would be the first issue, battery life the second. Sound quality will be passable and decent for a kid who is going to destroy it.
