Looking for Car Deals ~ $40k

Hi There,

I know there are often cracking deals in June (read: end of financial year) with car dealerships.

I'm looking to purchase a new vehicle for around $40k budget (up to 45).

In terms of the actual vehicle, I need lots of storage and I will be taking it off road. Those are the two main factors.

Couldn't care less about fuel, new school technology / gadgets , fancy seats etc etc.

I've been looking at the Subaru Outback / Forester.

But I'd love other suggestions and deals anyone knows about.

    Says "off road", then lists AWDs.

    Sigh

    Lots of storage and 4x4? Buy a dual-cab ute, or SUV version of the 4x4 ute (Fortuner/Pajero Sport/etc etc)

      is a bit strange mentioning off road and scoobydoo. However some people consider a dirt driveway off road not tackling the gnarliest steepest climb they can find.

      Agree: twin cab 4wd ute.

    Yea I'm pretty sure $40k will get you a car, but for more selection you might need to look away from the usual brands like Porsche and Maserati.
    Pretty sure Japan, and maybe Korea make cars these days, that might be within your budget. Dunno if they'd be any good though.

    I suggest you buy at the last week of June. I'm sure they'd be more motivated to sell to meet sales figures.
