  • nice right? Is it any good to freeze?

    • You know what I noticed with freezing meats… the colder it is and the less air is in the package the better it is when you take it out… ie, chest freezers seem to keep at lower temps than upright freezers, and my meat in the chest freezer that has been wrapped within the vacuum-sealed bags tastes excellent even after close to a year…

I guess the suggestion would be to freeze these items in the cryovac bags… But let's see what OP comes back with though…

Are they better than coles/woolies eye fillets?

What do you do if, after paying $119 for 3kg of steaks, they taste like nothing and they are as tender as a piece of asphalt?

Costco has magnificent looking meat trays. But I will never gamble >$100 for unknown results.

Better pay a bit more for 250 grams and then decide how good it is.

    • yes, alas the Costco tendloins have gone up ~$8-10/kg in the last few months, I'm looking for another source, as I was happy paying $8-10/steak for similar size pieces, but now even the sizes are a mix of too big & too small.

I agree that is a very big gamble spending $130-140 on an unknown.
