        It's not like a HUD because you can't see through your phone. This impairs your vision to say the least.

    I actually got a magnetic version of this as I usually use those Logitech suction cup to window with magnet on other side thing. The magnetic version is really good. Not sure about this semi fixed version though.

    i think is not legal because you cant have anything right above your dash, you can only have it slightly left and right.

    From memory depending on which state there is specific locations you can mount phones/gps ect. above the dash is not one in Queensland. has to be far right bottom corner or lowest middle point. Only from memory, quite certain this plastic rubbish is illegal. Just get a good fast charge crade and be done with it tbh

    If you're mounting it there, any phone is going to be too small. You would need to mount a tablet in that position to get a good view. And I'm pretty sure that will obstruct too much of your vision for it to be legal.

    EDIT: At first glance, I thought the phone holder was being mounted above the center console, but on closer inspection, it is being mounted above the instrumment panel. Very sure this isn't legal. It's directly in your FOV.
