    Good question.

    I will say, of the very similar Xiaomi using 3 x AA batteries and the Xiaomi Yeelight with rechargeable internal via USB, I much prefer the latter. Whilst very similar (Xiaomi the former is marginally bigger and brighter, whilst the Xiaomi the latter has a better magnet option for mounting to metal and are marginally more sensitive to movement in the dark) the fact that the latter resets it's 15 second motion sensor means it won't go off mid-pee like the former, and tips the balance in it's favour for me.

    These new ones, I know nothing of, but I'm curious since they're half the price…

    These ones are brighter than the Xiaomi ones. If it is just lighting a passage I will go with the Xiaomi because the light is soft and beautiful but if it is lighting up a room then these ones do a better job.

    BTW the ones I have are cool white but the ones listed here are warm white and may not be as bright as my cool white ones.

    The Xiaomi uses 3 AA while these use 3 AAA batteries.
