  • No cashback any more :(

    • Qantas mall still gives 1 point per dollar at eBay.

      Edit: not an eBay deal.

Just fyi historical low price for arlo pro 2 is about $440 for 2 cams. Therefore 4 cams is $880 with extra base.

Basically is the $95 worth the doorbell and r2d2? Reviews on doorbell dont seem good

    • And Pro 2 add on camera can currently be had for $215 with the ebay 20% off deal.

What's differences between these and other wifi cameras? Like Vimtag, hikvision etc? Seems way over priced and also requiring a base station?

      • Base station makes it more reliable than other WiFi cameras.
The alerts from the app are pretty good.
You can set rules for motion detection so that your choice of camera(s) can record motion. For example, motion detected by your driveway camera can trigger recording on your front door camera too.
They integrate well with Google Home & IFTTT.
        Convenient to mount anywhere.
Free unlimited recording saved for 7 days for up to 5 cameras makes it convenient to manage the recordings without worrying about storage limits or storage card capacity.
For me it was a hassle to recharge the battery and ended up buying the solar panels.

  • I don't seem to be getting free shipping applied during the checkout process, even though the item (e.g. Unifi NanoHD) actually says on the product page. So adds $10.14 to the price.
Thought it might be a $200 cutoff, but can see other products for less still with free shipping.
Are other people seeing the same thing?

    • Updated the OP about delivery info on Unifi NanoHD.. I am getting $6.86 NSW

  • My local Bunnings is marking down the VMS4330P from 999 to 650. Might worth checking out your nearby store if you don't need the R2D2.

    • Which bunnings is that?

How come no one buys from the US and ships it here?

    • nice! that would be worth it

which bunnings? and did ya get a pic?

  • Anyone know the real life battery usage in this? Not sure if these even worth the effort (charging) compared to wired, if outside and mounted fairly high/not in reach.

    • You have the option to hard wire them as well.
Battery usage - it depends if you are running 24/7 or only when not at home. I'm the later and recharge indoor cameras every 10 weeks and outdoor 7-8 weeks as there is more foot traffic. GeoFencing feature is great but temperamental and not always reliable.

  • Are these Arlo cameras indoor only? It doesn't say it's IP55 etc?? Can they do POE?
    Thanks.

  • why does no 1 buy an arlo from USA instead?

    thanks
