@funkay: It's only comparable to getting games cheaper if you actually keep them. You can't play films/tv shows if you don't pay for Netflix, therefore its not a deal to just use their service as intended.

@funkay: You are renting the games and whether it's a cheaper price entirely depends on which games you play, how many you play and how long your subscription is active for. This is exactly the same as Netflix, which was the original point, we don't see deals for new films being added to Netflix so why should additions to Gamepass be any different.
@mr_me450: You’re assuming everyone already has a Netflix or a game pass subscription. Between paying a cheaper price for game pass to rent and play the game (or watch the movie) and paying RRP for a game (or movie) I’m only going to play once, I’d pick this because it’s cheaper. And this is still after completely disregarding all the other games and movies I’d get as part of those subscriptions as well.
@funkay: The original post is not about buying Gamepass, is about new games being added to Gamepass. So by supporting this as a deal it is in fact you that is assuming everyone already has access to a Gamepass subscription in order for the deal to be valid. If you want to see a valuable post that actually offers a good deal on a Gamepass subscription then you’d need to look a few deals back before this one was posted. This is just an announcement about new games being added to a subscription service, which is exactly what subscription services do all the time. No deal to be found here.
@mr_me450: If I didn't have game pass and I wanted to play the game cheaper than RRP I'd use this deal. It's not really that complicated.

What about buying Netflix original context? Same as Xbox exclusive games.
@funkay: Debatable since I can keep retail games, resell them, and Game Pass loses games over time too. Pay for one month, I get access to lots of games, don't pay a month and I don't have them anymore.

I signed up after the conference, getting constant errors trying to download things like Metro (other indie games work)

Anyone got any ideas? =( =(It'll be like this for all of today, just imagine how many people are signing up for this. Its enough to slow one of the largest tech companies in the world's servers. My windows update is taking forever so I can actually download gamepass.
I'm really hoping that is just the case and not some weird regional/account problem.
Like I said I was able to download other things like Wargroove fine, which had me concerned.
For whatever reason, Metro Exodus Windows Edition requires the new Xbox app to work, which in turn requires Windows 10 1903 update to be installed (build 18362.0, check the system reqs for Metro). Once I opted in to get 1903 early, I was able to grab the new Xbox app and install Metro.
That said, I still can't PLAY Metro, keeps saying it can't sign into to my Xbox account, but Guacamelee 2 and other indies are fine.
I was forced to update Windows before I was able to download that Xbox app, so I assume I am on the latest version.
I will have another look tonight I guess.

My home console is set to a different Xbox so it always pushes installs to the wrong console (I’m too lazy to figure out how to change this).
I can manually choose which device to install on through the web browser but it’s poorly optimised for phones and i can’t press the install button. So close yet so far! 😂

If you wish to play online, you will need to be an Xbox Live Gold subscriber. Otherwise, Game Pass is enough to play the game(s).

I have this so great news, but I think the real star of the show is the fact that we can still buy cheap game pass/live and load up our accounts before converting it over to ultimate.

Whoops, my bad! I didn't realise The Handsome Collection was only on the Xbox One Game Pass not for the PC.
