According to the box art, over 800.

  • has the physical copy ever been that cheap?

Best 100+ gaming hours I've ever spent.

    • +1

I hear it is also one of the most beautiful games ever too.

      • Yeah visually it's amazing. The story telling is incredible too.

It was before they downgraded it. It's still an amazing looking game but it could have been revolutionary.

        • +2

They didn't downgrade it, they just never went through with their original goal. Its not like they undone all their hard work, they just didn't go through with it. Considering how demanding it was without it, it makes sense.

    • Almost everything but the quest design is top notch. Shame most quests are go to location X, investigate using witcher senses, go to location Y, investigate again and then kill enemies.

      • +1

Better than most games tbh. Also has some of the most unique and ethics challenging quests in any game. Just annoyed me that expansion where you had to boat about all over the joint. Why can't you get any decent boats? They are all the same old crappy dinghy with a sail!

And the talky cut-scenes just go on….and on….and on

Got the platinum and finished the DLC before the GOTY edition even came out.

Terrific game in every way. Play on Deathmarch. It's tough at first but evens out after the first Act.

One of the best games ever made. If you have been putting it off, give it a go. Only advice I will give is to collect the Gwent cards from every innkeeper/merchant in the villages as you progress through the game. You will need them when you enter the tournaments and it is a pain going back and trying to find the ones you have missed.

    Just buy it

  • -7

From the creators of Cyberpunk 2077.

From the creators of a game that won't even be out until next year, assuming it doesn't get delayed at all? That's supposed to convince me to buy this one?

    • -1

Not sure why the downvotes, but what thedukeofnukem said it's true. Saying creators of a [insert game that is not out] is like here is a game that has been out since 2015. To give you an idea on the quality, they also make a game that is not out yet

Fantastic Game, that's well worth your time.
Engrossing & moving story with great gameplay and a stunningly beautiful backdrop.

If you haven't played it yet… then this is a golden opportunity!

  • Guys is this game gud?

    • +1

      Real gud

    • Get gud!

  • That is a terrific price for it. And I sorely want to get it but I'm torn because I game both from the couch as well as on the PC and would probably be quite happy with it on the PS4 but the mods available for the PC version seem like the kinda mods that I frequently end up using in my RPGs. e.g. fast travels and bags of holding. :)

    • If you get it for the PS4, make sure you have a SSD, killer load times.

      • Even on a ps4 pro?

        • +1

Yes and no. PS4 Pro and its deafult HDD has shorter load times than the PS4, Digital Foundry test showed:
          PS4 Stock: 1:32
          PS4 Pro Stock: 1:18
          PS4 SSD: 1:09
          PS4 Pro SSD 1:07

Coming from PC with SSDs, even the PS4 Pro SSD is too slow for my patience. I upgraded my PS4 Pro to a SSD and I enjoy the reduced loading times.

    • +1

I'd recommend to get it on PC and max it out.

Thanks for the heads-up, @FabMan. Certainly good to know and definitely helps with my decision matrix.

Thanks, @Lolno234 - yep, I'm leaning towards that as well even if it is a few $$ dearer.

Buy on PC and buy a steam link thus play on couch :D

        • Yep. I have the steam link and even have it linked via Ethernet. 😁😁

  • I've currently got the original game, will my save transfer to the GOTY edition?

    • I know for a fact that it won't. Sorry.

      • Damnit, thats so annoying. Bought Horizon zero dawn complete version at the weekend and had the same problem. Don't know if I can be arsed starting over again

  • Gimme on amazon

  • best game ive ever played. just buy it. no regrets

  • Is the framerate still pretty grim on standard PS4 or has this been resolved with updates?

  • I’ve had this in my backlog for over a year now - not sure if I will ever play it.

It’s scary that too many ‘samey’ games these days have no respect for ones times! How is one supposed to play many 100+ hours games each? Too many games in my backlog for me bother atm…prefer shorter sweet games…

Just (slowly) finished through persona 5 and Currently trying to go through Zelda botw…🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
