  I've seen these on Amazon however unsure of the branding and quality so I've not pulled the trigger for our trip to Sth America.

  Are these comparable in quality or where would you place this brand alongside the following: Kathmandu, North Face, Arcteryx, Patagonia, Columbia, Jack WolfSkin, Icebreaker, Mammut, Marmot or Macpac? etc

  I'm also unsure on quality, could you please clarify? it looks like it could be good quality (durable) but then if seems like it would only last a few months (<1 yr) after general wear and tear.

  Also how do you wash these? E.g cold water, hand wash only?

      And why can't you wring out the excess water after washing it? Does wringing it ruin the jacket? Air dry only?
