At this point most people have played Witcher 2 and 3. I think $129 is a lot of money for one game and this is not a bargain IMO.

    • +19

Good thing the $129 is for 6 games then.

    • +1

      I haven't

    • Do you realise that this is a bundle, and that it is possible to purchase the game individually if you so choose?

      • -1

$90 is a rip off as well - I won't even mention why its dumb idea to preorder game almost a year before release. I bet Green Man Gaming or another Steam reseller will have this for $60 or so.

        • If you have a VPN with a Russian node, Cyberpunk works out to only be ~$45AUD (1999 Rubles).

"If you already own any of the games included in this collection, a redeem code that you can share with a friend will be automatically sent to you via e-mail. This code expires 1 year after the date of purchase."

Helps knowing this if you're like me and already have all the Witcher titles.

    • +12

If you already own all the Witcher games then just buy Cyberpunk for $90.

      • +3

This. I can't understand the logic in scottysunday's post. "I'm so glad they give me a free code so I can pay extra for games I already own instead of just buying the one I need."

        • Because Steam. Stockpiling redundant codes seems to be a feature.

God knows I've inadvertently purchased the same game several times LOL. But yeah, this bundle doesn't seem to be an actual bargain per se. It's just a bundle, not a particularly cheap bundle.

    don't (profanity) pre-order

    • I second this. I know CDPR has relatively good reputation, but it's never a good idea to pre-order a game bargain-wise. Plus you won't know in 1 year's time what's gonna happen to your life (maybe you don't have time or energy to play any more), or to the game itself (The Witcher 3's initial release date got delayed and the Gwent game was not very successful.)

      • Agreed, I waited a year or so and got Witcher 3 for about $30, it's even cheaper now.

    • -2

Exceptions to every rule. This, any Rockstar title, Zelda for eg. imo at least.

Enjoyed Witcher 3 without considering it GOAT etc, but would have no probs pre-ordering Cyberpunk; would bet good money there'd be 60-100 hours in it, and CDPR have earned it with their track-record.

    "Use GOG to support CDPR"

Ah yes, this literally multi billion dollar company who make hugely successful games need your help like a starving indie dev.

    • That's what I was thinking!

    • +10

I would argue that GOG is smaller than other storefronts such as Epic or Steam and CDPR have a multi-billion dollar cap for the right reasons which is a rarity in the gaming industry.

The right reasons being they make collossal, widely loved games that are free of further monetisation and all the detriments that this brings to games, gamers and gaming.

Better giving money to CDPR than the shit-peddlars at Activision, EA or Bethesda.

    • +1

CDPR is even a publicly traded company hahaha
(CDR Warsaw exchange) with a market cap of $21B lol

  • +1

    Hmm meh. Stop preordering.

  • +5

So I looked at the prices of the other games and with the current prices (this is not even taking into factor historical prices) Cyberpunk 2077 would be $80.03. So you're really saving $10 with this and that's assuming you have none of the witcher games already.

  • +3

I don't much like this pre-ordering messaging coming from CDPR, feels like they are really pushing people to part with their money early.

    This is from CDPR:

"You might be wondering if there’s any point in placing an order now. Yes, if you want to give us some extra support. Pre-orders help us build anticipation — the more copies you pre-order, the more likely it is for us to get retail (both digital and physical) behind the game. Therefore, if you like what you see, we will appreciate you "voting yes" for CP2077 with a pre-order."

It's a person's job to sell their game into retail, don't be relying on us to pay money 9 months in advance so you can hit your targets.
If the game is good enough people will come and if the buyers at retails stores have any brains they'll be packing the shelves with it.

    • +3

"if you want to give us some extra support"

This line would be acceptable from a small indie developer but CDPR has market cap of $21B. They don't need some extra support from us.

      • Just blowing stuff out of context like the other guy. Read the full CDPR quote.

Funny how you only took that part of the pre-order message and then say:

" It's a person's job to sell their game into retail, don't be relying on us to pay money 9 months in advance so you can hit your targets. If the game is good enough people will come and if the buyers at retails stores have any brains they'll be packing the shelves with it."

      The full quote:
Also, since pre-orders are live, you might be wondering if there’s any point in placing an order now. Yes, if you want to give us some extra support. Pre-orders help us build anticipation — the more copies you pre-order, the more likely it is for us to get retail (both digital and physical) behind the game. Therefore, if you like what you see, we will appreciate you "voting yes" for CP2077 with a pre-order. IF YOU ARE STILL HESITATING THOUGH, WE WOULD RATHER YOU WAIT FOR MORE MATERIALS OR REVIEWS. OUR GOAL IS FOR YOU TO TRULY ENJOY CP2077 AND NOT REGRET A PRE-ORDER.
Take care and looking forward to seeing you in Night City! CD PROJEKT RED team

The point is, if u want to preorder and give an early support do it but if ur not sold on the game or dont want to support then dont, there is no need to do so now or ever. Which developer out there in recent times have actually said that in a public message besides Patrick Soderlund on behalf of EA's Battlefield V " IF YOU DONT LIKE IT DONT BUY IT"
Cant get more customer friendly than that.

    This edition looks the best.

75% off minimum for me.. No rush to play this unless all my friends on discord are playing this and say it is good but until then 50 to 75 percent off minimum.

Games just don't hold the same value for me anymore when I get so much value from various deals and bundle websites or even Reddit if I can be stuffed working for it making posts in /r/steamgameswap /r/indiegameswap and other various buy and sell games subreddits.

Hard to pre-order something these days.. The last pre-order I made was for Warcraft 3 Reforged because I know there is no way Blizzard can stuff that up and I do love my custom maps in Warcraft and Starcraft.

    • "no way Blizzard can stuff that up"

Because they didn't stuff up BfA? Blizzard is trash company. I would never preorder from Blizzard.

      • WoW was stuffed up for me after BC lol.

I mean if they stuff up Warcraft RTS then they just removed an entire series from their franchise.

    Hey GamesCentral,

new registration abd trying to push CDPR - are you associated with GOG, CDPR etc.?

Either I find this too expensive and not a deal, especially given the deals on the other Witcher games.
