Yubico have a 24 hour offer offering 2 Yubikey 5s for $80usd(~$115AUD) instead of the usual $90usd (~130aud) + $5 USD shipping (~7.20aud). I'm no mathematician but total cost is roughly $122 AUD which works out to ~$61 per Yubikey.

I'd love to buy some but $10 saving isn't worth the investment yet.

  • I will rather buy solokeys since they have started shipping

    • Solokeys seem to be U2F & FIDO only, is that true?
Yubikey has other modes, yubikey U2f & FIDO is $20USD.

      • The Solokey and Yubikey you linked only does basic U2F and FIDO. The Yubikey 5 supports FIDO2 (Needed for Azure support) and Smartcard emulation used for storing PGP and x509 certificates.

But if all you want to do is secure google, Facebook and Twitter etc logins with U2F the cheaper ones are the way to go.

        • Linked security key does support FIDO2 but yes, as per your other comments.
Cheaper option than the Solokey if you only need basic functionality was my point :)

  • Can you use the same Yubikey on multiple devices?

    • Yes.
