[NSW] Seiko 50% off All Stock @ Peninsular Jewellers, Dee Why

130

Hi all… I’m a long time Ozbargain user but posting for the first time
I just came across a local Jeweller at Dee Why, “Peninsular Jewellers” is doing 50% off all their current model Seiko watches.
This is the cheapest I have ever seen so far.

They don’t advertise them on their web site but they informed me they can post it anywhere in Australia for $15 flat

@lesterfreamon: Feel free to tick the 'associated' box when creating the post

                  • +1

@NixMo1: There's no evidence that @lesterfreamon or the former members you mention are associated, and nor do i believe they are - they're just happy customers of StarBuy, as indeed i am.

It takes a bit of work to liaise with the StarBuy's of this world, and i'm personally appreciative that he's come out over the last few months to post various deals and come in here to encourage StarBuy to beat this deal. I personally would rather buy from StarBuy but that's got more to do with my familiarity with them.

In terms of watch deals they've been a bit light on lately, and part of the reason for that is there's a bunch of market forces at play making it more difficult for outfits like StarBuy to offer them. Some of those forces relate to the big brands seeking to 'manage' the market, as you see in this comment below. I do know they've had trouble sourcing decent Eco-Drives at a price and volume that lends itself to an OzBargain post. Now for The Phantom that amounts to a tragedy of biblical proportions.

Always good to keep your eye out for any shenanigans though…

@[Deactivated]: When all your posts are literally starbuy deals and you've come to post on their behalf expressing they refuse to be beaten, you can't tell me there's no association there. There's nothing wrong with being associated but it just feels like the start of watchnerd all over again

@NixMo1: Talking to them and having a bit of a fetish for Seiko and StarBuy isn't enough to make you associated.

OzBargain has specific criteria when it comes to defining who is and is not associated.

I've had contact with them as well - that doesn't make me associated under the criteria either. Any earlier issues with @WatchNerd and @PJC had nothing to do with association.

Thanks very much Lester. And thanks also to sampathns.

Missed out on StarBuy's previous best price trying to buy through eBay with a discount code. When I contacted them late last year they said that Seiko weren't allowing them to discount through platforms like eBay on the Prospex range (and maybe others) any more.

This was too good to miss.
