These are really a system speaker, not just a speaker itself, they include digital, analog and wireless inputs - making them a full system you can use out of the box, so really the sticker price isn't quite as bad as it seems really, great value for money for a system.
My consideration is only the sound.
Sound wise, they would be a big step up quality wise, the only thing that may be lacking is bass, but only in large rooms.
Fantastic detail, imaging and resolution.
The thing with speakers is more expensive does not necessarily mean better. Speakers have flavors, bright, warm, laid back etc. You might like warm signature from BW speakers vs brighter sound from jbl/infinity.
Higher price might give you a speaker that won't distort at higher volumes but "better" can't really be quantified. Sound signature, imaging and other things are really personal.
@krisspy: That is why speaker really need to listen to it first before you decide.
The infinity Reference 162 I have I mainly use it for Hi Res Music (Jazz, Blue)

We have a better price on The Blue! unfortunately can't do this same price for the other colours :(

i got ls50w and love it so i sold other gears to minimize my setup. Couldnt be happier.

Give them a listen, the LS50W were voted as the best Hifi Product of the year, and for the money they are untouched. The LSX is basically the same thing, in the end a subwoofer (which would also help the LS50w) will get around any limitations they may have. Regardless the LS50w go phenomenally low.
Getting rid of amps and having such a tidy setup is worth it alone. Has huge wife/living room appeal.
@superforever: Better. Every possible way. I had a Marantz slimline before and these are running off 225wrms each. They get extremely loud. Much higher quality speaker too.
Damn i was researching these before making a decision. Now its expired. I liked the blue.

Just wondering how much better than that Infinity Reference 162? 10 times the price.
I know KEF is very good but a bit too much for me.
