Shall We Start Two Sub Forums?

  • Car accident, who is at fault?
  • Traffic ticket, shall I contest?

So that I won't constantly see these topics here.

Agree. So many of these. But usual response for 2 is pay up and move on.

For 1. Check with insurance company and put in police report.

I kind of agree, but it won’t ever happen. I made a similar suggestion ages ago, but it just didn’t gain and traction.

While I understand that parking tickets and automobile accidents are automotive in nature, they really don’t have any relevance here. Maybe we need a “legal” sub forum…

Also, I think all the “I’m looking to buy XYW car, what’s the best price?” threads should all be moved to the “find me a bargain” section, or left on whirlpool where they belong…

      legal

Perhaps an “on the road” or something like that. The last thing we need to do is encourage more people to think this is an appropriate place to seek legal advice.

How about a sub forum called. "i have not entered my posts title into google and done my own search but have posted on ozbargain instead"

    • +5

That's stupid…over half the entire forum posts will get put into a single sub-forum lol

      • There's post where the answer is just a single simple answer, requires no experience or discussion.

Then there's one where experience and opinion can help.

Is opinion and experience required to find out if a certain shop is open on a certain day?

We definitely need something like new members cannot make a forum post for 6 months to stop the annoying disabled user post

Would be a very boring forum without the new account one-post wonders

  • Or 1 new main forum titled "I posted these questions in Whirlpool's automotive forum and they ripped me a new one so I'm posting it here also"

    • +3

“I posted to Whirlpool and didn’t get the answer I wanted to hear, so I thought I would post here in the idiotic optimistic attempt to get the answer I wanted to the same question…”

      • “Even though the answer to my question can be easily googled, I still prefer writing a post and let my fellow ozbargainers of 2 minutes to google it for me.”

        • +2

I never get that. They will type out a 3,000 word essay here, but won’t put a 5 word question into google…

  • and have fuel watch one link with sub forum for each state

  • It should be split into a Toyota owners past, present and future club section and a section for everything else.
