  Optimus One is a far superior handset compare to Optimus Me. Unique mobile offer it for $179 unlocked with free delivery.

  Optimus Me has similar spec to the Huawei Ideo U8150. However, the later only cost $99, you can buy unlock code off eBay for under $20.

  Another similar spec phone is HTC Wildfire. Which looks much better imo, and has HTC sense.

    I considered the HTC Wildfire, but it only has 320 x 240 screen res, which limits the Apps that can be downloaded from Android market. Ended up getting LG Optimus One for $179 from DSE (Virgin locked but can be easily unlocked for $4 ish from ebay). Very good phone for the price, well built and the navigation is as good as a dedicated GPS unit.

        should also consider the htc wildfire supports flash lite wheras the optimus one does not, not sure how bad the screen res is on the wildfire and how many apps this impacts but i would think having flash support (even lite) would be a big + for the htc.

        LG said there will be an Android 2.3 upgrade for the Optimus One. Will it support flash after the update?

        No, it is not the firmware thats the issue, but the hardware.
