GTA V for $28 isn’t bad for that game.

    • Or if you don't mind a digital copy, $26.92 gets you GTA V with the criminal enterprise starter pack + great white shark card bundle in the current Microsoft online sale

    • It’ll be $25 at Big W during their toy sale.

This is not The Biggest Sale in the World, no. This is just a tribute trap

Stay away from the Xbox charger. My kid's stopped working after a couple of months, and I've since read this is quite common.

Agree…I had 2 replaced under warranty and gave up on the third unit when it also failed. I just buy batteries now as I got sick of dealing with the kids complaining.

Yep this design of charger uses a proprietary battery that replaces the regular AA batterys or ms rechargeable and uses a pin to pin contact method of charging. This is a terrible way of charging as it relies on the weight of the controller to hold the pins together.
They all eventually stop working, and worse still is that the battery cannot be charged with a usb cable in the controller like the other battery packs can so it becomes a paperweight.
      DO NOT RECOMMEND.

…it's these sort of posts that make this place what it is, cheers

Little bit of info for anybody interested in the charging stations. They are both identical except for colour. the listing where it says new doesn't mean anything just wanted to clarify that in case anybody was wondering.

I own one of these and they are quite good.

I got the black one and it came with four back plates. 2x white and 2x Black. Nice little touch considering I love the accent black-and-white

Take notes maybe once a month you should just give the contacts a little wipe on the unit. Noticed a couple of times the red light didn't come up to indicate charging and that's just because the dust settles but you can literally just smack it with a tissue and say get off :)

    • I got two of these for four controllers. No problems at all for about a year now and they get used every single day.

Much easier to get to connect properly compared to other docks I've tried.

It's been $28 for a long time, so it's not a new bargain at all.

This controller charger is the absolute worst. Please stay away and do not buy.

Just either get a 4pk of rechargeable batteries (AA) and swap them out as needed, or 2 Xbox Rechargeable Batteries (were $2 a pop at EB a while ago).

    • Why? Can we get some details

      • It doesn't charge the controller well, found I was having to charge more often. Additionally, it can be hard to actually get it to start charging.
I only used it for around 2-3 weeks before it went.

        • I don't believe rechargeable batteries last as long as two quality aa. Yeah that's weird I never had your problem only a couple of times when dust has settled. I would suggest to try another and return it if you get the same situation. I basically always have a controller charged.

          • @Sammy Boi: I've now got two Xbox rechargeable battery packs - swap them out whenever one goes flat. Charges while the console is off.
            Works much better for me.
