Need Service to Transport Goods from Gold Coast to Melbourne

Hi,

I don't know whether this post fits into the travel category. Mods please move it to the right category if you will.

I have a friend in Gold coast who is ready to give me some home theatre speakers and I'm in Melbourne. Is there a good courier/transport service that will go to his home, pack it and deliver it to me in Melbourne for a reasonable fee? The speakers weight 68 Kg overall. Ive tried courier websites but the packing part can be an issue. Unfortunately my friend won't be able to pack them up.

    Pack & Send. That's what they do. But don't expect expect it to be cheap.

    Search….Backloads Gold Coast to Melbourne and take your pick…probably be able to get firm quote, cheaper if your mate delivers to their depot ;)

    Tell your friend to go to Bunnings and get bubble wrap plastic… heaps of it. Sticky tape
    Then try to get some cartons etc … such as from Aldi etc.

    Wrap the speakers up with bubble plastic and overlay with carton to ensure protection.

    Call any courier with the specs and take pics before he/she sends.
    You can go to their website and get a quote.

    Then get insurance and read their T&C's

      Yup, thanks. I've looked up transdirect and their quotes seem very reasonable. Most likely to go with them.
