Seems like it is "pricing error" in the catalogue by BigW (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/464035).
Not a bad strategy to get their competitors to sell the speakers at a loss.

Just got one from Harvey Norman , can’t believe the price was $49.95 for the average sound quality . It’s only good for quiet listening or while sitting in the toilet .
