Infasecure EOFY Sale - Opus Signature 6m to 8years - $275 + Shipping ($9 to Bris), Quattro Vogue 0-4 $310 + Shipping

50

For the Opus Signature (RRP $549), its not the narrowest seat in the world, but a a premium range Infasecure seat (bamboo fabrics, cupholders, head/side protection, one-hand strap raising/lowering) that is a Type-G (6 mths to 8 years fully harnessed) at a great price.

Price I get is $275 plus shipping, which is $9 to Brisbane which seems reasonable.

EDIT: The Quattro Vogue (RRP $620, sale price around $450-500 usually) is also on sale - http://store.infasecure.com.au/product/1351-quattro-vogue-0-…
This is a 0-4 premium fabric seat as well, which is the narrowest seat on the market.

I got this as an email for the Infasecure EOFY sale. Note that the seats are in the 'factory seconds' section of the store - not sure why or what that means, and nothing mentioned in the email about it.

  • what's the diff between child car seat & convertible car seat ?

  • I think convertible is rear and front facing, whereas the Opus seems to just be front facing?

  • Can't seem to find the safety rating or reviews for the Opus Signature. Anyone has any experience with the product?

  • I called them and apparently retail seconds means it's stock returned from retailers (store shut down scenario). Packaging might not be perfect but the seat is brand new.

  • I'm looking for a car seat. The due date is in 4 weeks. My wife is recommended to not have more kids after this.
May I get help on what I should consider when buying a car seat?
    Thanks.

In all honesty if you are only having one child then just get a 0-4 seat like the Quattro linked above or a Safe-n-sound Britax Compaq, then once they turn 4/hit the height markers just get a cheap booster seat (like Hipod Boston Pro for $100). Total spend around $400. Could even just get a cheaper seat than the Quattro too.

You can go crazy and get a capsule to 6mth, then 0-4 seat, then 4-8 harnessed booster (like the Opus) but that's a lot of money on seats - like $800-900.
