I've been eyeing TNF Nuptse 1996 Retro for a while now and finally bit the bullet, been using a Kathmandu Epiq Down Jacket for the last 2 years.

      You aren’t wrong. These are the 90s fit so much more of the Michelin man look than the current more fitted design. There’s a reason rappers used to call them bubblegooses.

      They’re a throwback to the 90s fit which was much boxier than the current fit. These won’t be to everyone’s taste.

      Most things The North Face are a size big because they are US sizing.

    Puffer jackets are never really cheap. Even a budget brand like Uniqlo has puffer jackets that retail for about $250.

    I think another reason why this costs more is to cover the cost of that 700-fill down insulation.

    I didn't get this jacket but it looks like your STAY15 coupon works on other items in the store too. I haven't seen this coupon on OzB. So thanks for sharing ;-)

      Also North Face sources ethical down, whereas Uniqlo and others might not. Drives up the price but makes me feel a little better about wearing animal products for sure.
