Half price would be $74.95… just saying.

    • ok..my bad…so unozbargain…

Lot of bad reviews on the website though saying older versions of the sweater were better quality, fit etc

    Can anyone else confirm?

    • I own one and they are good! especially for that price.

    • +3

It definitely changed in quality and in size. The new quality has a much thinner material than the old version, as thin as their regular wool / lambwool jumpers. It's now more a regular fit, rather than the perfect fit from last year.

  • Will have a look at lunch

The lambswool sweaters are $10 off at $39.90 and are good quality if you don't want to stretch for cashmere

Just note they are not joking about hand washing them. I wrecked mine on gentle wash.

      • +2

Thanks for telling us, I totally would have gentle machine washed too..

      • Yeah mine shrunk like crazy.. they are the best though.

      • Handwash tends to me more abusive to fabric Imo, if using the Landry bags and putting them in the washing machine is the alternative.

  • Damn it, I got them 2 months ago for $130 thinking it was a good price… it’s good bang of the buck though. At $70, it’s a steal.

I really loved my cashmere sweater from Uniqlo - but it didn't wear well, developing holes fairly quickly.
However, I am still thinking about picking one or two up in this sale - just trying to decide whether to go the cashmere or the lambswool.

Was lucky , bought some while in Malaysia uniclo for $aud 10 each from the clearance bin , really soft and comfortable .

    • You are lucky. I’m here holidaying in Malaysia and I haven’t seen much winter clothing in their Uniqlo shops…

    George Costanza approves

Got a couple of deals like:
      - Register with new account you got $10 off code, this code can only be used online.
      - Walk into store and spend more than $50 with your online account, you get $5 off - so likely 10% off. This $5 can only be used once. However, you get new $5 off barcode the next day.

        • Register with new account you got $10 off code, this code can only be used online.

Do you have to register online or instore? I'm not seeing any codes.

        • I registered in store and was able to use it immediately in a purchase. This was a couple of months ago though.

          • @epkh: Just went in tonight and found it's actually $5 now.

        • I registered in store and at that time I got $5 off (which is the second deal I posted). On that day I received email about $10 off for my first online order. You will receive the email "Welcome to UNIQLO", probably in your junk mail.

wow, $75 is still expensive for me. may be because i wear Kmart stuff since i had a kid. but i'm sure these will improve ur looks a lot i guess

  • +3

    What is that red dot?

  • +2

These are so impractical. There are a bunch of warnings about how often you should wear and wash it from preventing damage. Not worth it even at $75 imo

    • +1

Agree, I have 2, they are lovely and soft but after a few wears they start to look a bit scruffy. They haven really pilled but the front on both just looks worn

  • +4

Wouldn't recommend their cashmere. Pills like a mother after a couple of washes.

    • The care instructions state to dry clean and not to machine or hand wash.

      • For a $75 piece of clothing, would you take it to the dry cleaners?

        • I've been Googling washing cashmere, most guides on the Internet say you can hand wash cashmere and don't need to dry clean. I'm wondering how I should wash it.
Out of interest, did you machine or hand wash?

          • @cnitsuj: Hand washed and line dried in the shade.

    • I bought one a couple of years ago, don't know if they have improved, but I had to throw it out because of the pilling and scruffiness. I wasn't keeping something that needed dry cleaning that was only good enough for the camping wardrobe!

  • Anything from post 2005?

  • +2

Sorry, but cheap and cashmere are not a good combination. Low quality, short strand cashmere pills easily and is not durable at all. Better of putting $75 towards a quality merino knit.

    • +2

Better of putting $75 towards a quality merino knit.

      Do you have any recommendations?

  • The fit looks cut for men with guts… Baggy mid section.

    • get a smaller size

      • But sleeves

        • Cut your arms to length. Duh.

    • So it appeals to the average Australian. Good design choice, but still too expensive for me.

  • +1

If you register on the app, it gives you an extra $5 off voucher for spends of over $50. Not sure if it's applicable online as I used mine in store.

Its probably made in China. Be careful. Alot of Uniqlo stuff is quite cheap.

    • +1

Apart from you, everything is made in China these days. Are we following Trumpet's logic?

      • +1

I think he/she means that the retail price for this piece should be much lower, around $20 in my opinion, when you consider the raw materials cost, cheap labour, and low end brand. Also orange man bad

    • Thought 99% of clothes were made in china though?

    • +2

      Inappropriate use of negative vote

    • -1

true. uniqlo is cheap fast fashion.

      • They never claimed to be the top end of fashion.
