      I have a Koala Mattress.

Mattresses are extremely subjective, so its very hard to tell somebody whether or not they are good.

I once purchased a mattress in store for over a grand, felt good in the store, was crap at home, hated it and had to replace it… couldnt return it…

I would totally recommend people buy a bed in a box; because if you don't like it you can return it for free within 120 days (in the instance of Koala).
It wont take you 120 days to work out whether or not its right for you.
I personally didn't like it, called up to return it, they offered to provide a free topper (they will always do this when you ask for a refund, you can always say no and get a refund).
I proceeded with the free topper ONLY BECAUSE they reset the 120 days from the day that you receive the topper. If they didn't do this I would have returned it.

With the topper, its amazing for me. Some people say the bed is too soft without it, I found it rock hard.. I'm used to a soft bed..

They are expensive, but the peace of mind of being able to return it if you don't like it is totally worth it..

      • Thanks for the in-depth reply! Will consider it when I need to replace my mattress.

I've had mine for close to 2 years, I love it. It's fairly firm but I sleep so well on it. I wouldn't bother buying a mattress in a shop. 120 days return if you don't like it, nothing to lose. Definitely recommend them.

I personally went with Ecosa because they were slightly cheaper, can be modified to 3 different firmness levels and if you do decide to get a refund they donate the mattress to the Salvos. Ordered it at about 11am and it arrived around 7pm that night. So far I love it but I'm about to swap firmness level just to see which one firmness is best for me. Oh and they do ShopBack so I got a decent discount on top of the other discount.

  • I bought a zzz atelier ( cheap bed in a box ) and it was great for 3 months but now has some very obvious bed sag / body indentation in the middle (to the point everyone comments on it when they see it ). Anyone Have a koala for longer than a year able to comment on this ?
