r/NBA has leaked a loooong way!

    • +1

Reports saying he may be picked up by the Lakers

      • +2

        My bet is the Clippers.

        • +3

          Same here.

      • +3

If you think Kawhi's air tight camp is allowing Kendrick Perkins of all people to get inside info you're kidding. IMHO LAC are 3rd place - no reason to go there as even with Kawhi they ain't winning nothin, LAL make most sense but I think he'd be seen as jumping on LBJ's team and so any success would be like what happen to KD in GS - seen as a tag along - plus Kawhi I don't think wants to be an afterthought.

I think (and hope for the league's interest) that he does a 1+1 in TOR (2nd yr player option) - intending to opt out in 2nd yr regardless of what happens and then he'll bolt for LA market.

PS. How crap - not a single Kawhi or basketball site on the entire site - way to leverage the moment NB!

        • +1

My bet is he stays in Toronto. But LeBron, AD, Kawhi, Iggy is a death line up that would rival the Hampton 5

        • +2

Agree, Kawhi sticking with TOR and not joining a super team would be great for the league, opening up a more balanced playing field - "NBA parity" as some headlines have stated.

What a crazy first day of free agency!

          • +5

@groovypants: There's too many big contracts being handed out. And the rookie extension is borderline crazy. Giving a guy like Jamal Murray nearly $200m is nuts, he's not an all star. Same with Simmons, he can't be paid nearly $200m and not shoot a jump shot

        • +1

Yep, none in the Sydney Pitt st store either. Was hoping to at least see his new shoe. How disappointing indeed.

Personally I think the watermelon look is all the rage this season.

      • +1

That's what all the politicians reckon too.

    • Ordered a pair, Nothing a bit of nicko or a quick spray with the mesh taped won't fix ;)

$60 for shoes that actually fit my fit? Hell yeah! Screw the cosmetics. Being paying $130 minimum for years now.

  • Are these comparable to kayano?

    • +2

New Balance Fresh Foam Boracay is New Balance's high stack neutral running shoes, and the line is pretty much replaced by Fresh Foam Beacon last year. If you need to run in Kayano (stability shoes with medial post), then Boracay is not for you.

      • So this is not for those who needs shoes with good support (stability)?

        • +1

          No, it's neutral running shoes.

  • Anyone had any reviews or feedback regarding this shoes cheers !

  • +3

Note: these are 2E (wide) fitting.

  • Someone said don't use spikes shoes for casual shoes even after we remove the spikes. Anyone know why?

    • +1

      My guess is thin sole?

      • Hmm but just for walking in the gym (light weight training) should be fine

        • Spike shoes in my experience are moulded with a slight upward toe flex. Meaning the shoe is not flat, and like zero cushioning. And some will have plastic spikes surrounding the removable spikes also as they are made for track running.

        • Why not just use normal shoes? Buy some Dunlop Volleys from K-Mart and use them as gym shoes.

If you did wear ones with removed spikes, don’t walk on any mats in the gym. The plastic moulds the spikes fit into will possibly damage the mats.

    • No grip.

  • Bought 3 pairs of the 574.. hope it's worth it.

    • +1

I got mine today. You won't be disappointed, great shoe and at $50 a no brainer.

      • What is the size compared to Skechers or ASICS?

        • I don't have a pair of Skechers or ASICS, so not sure.

      • Got them today. Really pleased for $50 a pair, great shoes!

        1 of each colour

  • +3

    Are these womens shoes?

    • Men's

    • there are other female shoes on sale

    • My wife just bought men's new balances after feeling out the different shoe types. She found the men's more comfortable and suited high impact exercise better than the women's shoes she tried.

    • There’s no difference other thn sizing. Feet are feet.

Boracay is well known island in the Philippines. Wonder what made them name it after that.

    • +3

Probably is the picture on the wall in the tiny break room of the massive factory that pumps these bad boys out in the Philippines.

Sticking to my name, desperate to find a free shipping code…

  • Dont forget the cashrewards!

  • How are these for running? Currently using Ultraboosts.

    • +1

If you have a wider foot then NB are great. These are 2E fitting (wide).

  • What’s sizing like with NB I’m a uk 9.

    • +1

Sizes listed at NB are US. I just checked mine, size US 10 = 9.5 UK.

      • Thanks I saw that but thought US was 1 larger but maybe not. What’s width like as can see some can be narrow/wide etc

        • US is usually 1 size larger, these aren't though. Also these are 2E, so a bit wider. D is normal width.

          • @adr8: Yeah that’s what I thought but on the site it’s US 10 is Uk/aus 9.5

  • Thanks op! Love the colours!

  • Strange, these don't match the NB Boracay pictures on the internet. I think the image is actually of a NB Mbora shoe! I think they have the wrong name on the item. https://www.amazon.co.uk/New-Balance-Mbora-Running-Shoes/dp/…

    • These are Boracay V2. Pretty sure the Amazon listing has the name wrong. The pic of the shoe has Boracay V2 on the side. The Boracay pictures you are referring to must be the V3.

  • Thanks OP, bought both Boracay and 574 to save $10 on shipping.

    • Hi Dragon!

    • Me too 😀

    • I like your thinking. Marketers love people like you.

      • Well I need some new running shoes and some daily walkabouts won't go astray as my current ones are a bit worn.

Generally I would have just paid the $10 shipping reluctantly.

        • Return is free, so you can order over 100 and return the pair you do not want.

  • Thanks OP, will wear this when i am out for photo session for a client… :)

  • +3

    Looks like half-ripen strawberries.

    • Hopefully by the time Auspost delivers it will be fully ripened and ready to eat

    • brah, its a watermelon :D

  • Thanks op tried to pay using afterpay, said no (weird) so used paypal then got charged on both. Don't use afterpay I think??

  • Does the 15% off first order for signing up to email spam stack?

    • No it excludes clearance items

  • Stupid Giant feet…..

Who else think it looks like 2 slices of watermelon?

    • Oh, look… a toffee apple threw up.

  • +1

Thanks. So hard to find 2E shoes at a decent price. If I see anyone else with the same shoe colour, I’ll say ,”Ozbargain?” And hopefully get a 😉👍.

  • +1

    Look like watermelon

  • Cheers OP, grabbed the white 574 sport and added a couple of tshirts and 5pack of socks to get me free delivery :)

  • cheers op. got 2.

Went to The Athlete's Foot today to check out size 2E as NB's size chart wasn't very clear on exactly how wide is 2E. Surprised to find it fits me quite well in store so ordered the Boracay in hot red! Thanks OP.

  • Awesome deal OP, shame it's for only size 2E with shoes, I need the 4e with for custom orthotics both hard and soft multi layer versions. Great price regardless.

  • +2

Now, it will be easy to spot ozbargainers from a distance.

  • Received it today and fits perfectly. love it. Thanks.

  • +2

I can confirm that the shoes run half a size smaller than all the other NB I tried before. I usually wear US 9.5 2E. I ordered 2 pairs 9.5 and 10 and I'm glad I did. Size US 10 fits perfectly.

    • +1

Thank you for everyone who reported these are around a half size smaller than other New Balance.
Same for me! Reading online reviews, I also ordered two sizes and needed the larger size, US 10, for toebox wriggle room.

The shoe looks better than pics suggest and that sole reminds me of wasabi!

  • +2

Received mine as well. perfect & love it !!!

    • Delivery was very impressive to my Sydney CBD office on Friday. Delivered from a Sydney warehouse, with notice on the first night that it was dispatched.

      Kudos, NB Australia!

  • +2

Received mine today too, luckily order two different sizes, seems it runs Smaller than I thought about NB, but true size to my NIKE, for $50 dollars Boracay is no brainer for light runner . Maybe can do a bit light trail run it seems providing some of the grips . And the shoes is kinda light weight

  • Thanks for sharing! Appreciated.

  • If I am UK 10 what size should I order US?

    • Google new balance size chart

      • Yeah I got there chart on website 10.5 thanks
