Overview
Bose Soundbar 700
Don't just listen. Feel every moment.
You don’t just want to hear your movies, music and TV. You want to feel the crushing footsteps of a T-Rex on the screen, the roar of the crowd when the underdogs win the match and the heart-pumping, beat-stomping chorus in your favourite song. That’s why we set out to design the world’s best soundbar, the Bose Soundbar 700. Featuring an unmatched combination of sophisticated design and exceptional sound, this slim soundbar is packed with technologies that bring out the full power in every moment of your entertainment. And with Alexa built in, all of your music is at the tip of your tongue.

Built-in voice control
With Amazon Alexa built right into the Bose Soundbar 700, you can play music services, news and weather forecasts without lifting a finger.* But what good is Alexa if she can’t hear you? Experience superior voice pickup from a custom-designed eight-microphone array that will still hear you, no matter how loud your music is. And an ingenious light bar will help visually indicate when Alexa is listening, thinking or speaking. Plus, it just keeps on getting better. Future software updates will unlock new features.

Looks as good as it sounds
Featuring a tempered glass top, wraparound metal grille, clean lines and an exquisite finish, the Bose Soundbar 700 is just as beautiful on the outside as it is on the inside. Place the soundbar on the TV stand or mount it elegantly on the wall. Either way, it’s pleasing to the eye and ear.

One remote is all you need
Tired of trying to figure out which remote goes with which device? We get that. So we designed a remote you’ll actually want to use. The Bose Soundbar 700 Universal Remote is included with the purchase of your soundbar and lets you manage all your entertainment at the touch of a button. It features six presets and lights up only the buttons you need at that moment, making it even easier to find your favourites.

Music. Any way you want it
When it comes to what you want to hear, you have so many options. Play your favourite music services, like Spotify or Amazon Music, over a home Wi-Fi network at the touch of a button. Or use a Bluetooth® connection to play anything from a phone or tablet. And Apple AirPlay 2 is coming in early 2019.

Bose Bass Module 700
Sound you can feel
Love your new Bose Soundbar 700 but want to kick the performance up a notch? Add the Bose Bass Module 700—it’s the difference between hearing bass and feeling thunder. Designed exclusively for the Bose Soundbar 700, it’s the best wireless bass module we’ve ever designed for any of our home cinema systems. In fact, it’s the best performance you can get for a subwoofer this size. It connects wirelessly to your soundbar and adds even more depth and impact to everything from explosive movie effects to house-rocking playlists.

Beautiful inside and out
With its premium glass-top finish, the Bose Bass Module 700 offers a sophisticated look you won’t find in typical subwoofers or home cinema equipment. Of course, this isn’t typical equipment. This subwoofer delivers a dynamic range of bass from a powerful driver and generously sized port with QuietPort technology that virtually eliminates distortion. So go ahead, turn up the music and feel that rhythm move through the house.

I picked one up last week, it does sound incredible.

        • 700 or 500?

  • Pretty expensive for a sound bar…
Guess proper surround can be annoying though, this might be a decent replacement

    • Its a bose, you wont get Aldi pricing

    Bose Soundbar 700 + Bass Module 700 Black $1555

There is $35 postage too, so total delivered as a "package" is $1590.

It's actually cheaper to get the two items separately (to avoid the $300 total discount limit when using the POLAR20 code:

    That is:
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Bose-Soundbar-700-Black/22320310…
    $997, less 20% = $797.60 plus $14.85 postage = $812.45

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Bose-Bass-Module-700-Black/32351…
    $865, less 20% = $692, plus $14.85 postage = $706.85

Total to buy separately is $1,519.30 delivered.

I got mine one before 01/07 at the same ebay store paid only $1495 when bought separately, cheapest on the market so far.

  • For that money you could get decent fronts and sub -small profile if you want too and then have roof mounted hidden for similar price? I'm biased against sound bars but that's a little over the top

  • Anyone with this setup have problems with the hdmi arc connectivity? Fair bit of bad feed back with people having to switch to optical cable.

    • I have this with HDMI arc setup. Takes a few seconds to turn on but apart from that I have no issues. Not sure what issues other people have had. The only issues I heard of are to do with Samsung TV's as they are known to have arc issues (luckily mine doesn't).

It's an amazing soundbar, great sound and Alexa works well. My Denon amp was starting to play up a bit with recognising inputs so I decided to replace the amp/speakers setup with a soundbar because I wanted a cleaner setup. I'm very happy with it.

  • I am the unlucky one with Samsung tv, unable to connect xbox one with it, not sure was common issues….. Alexa works well with smart home. any iPad , iPhone or android can connect with it using bluetooth . very convenient.

  • Does anyone know if this will pair up with the Soundtouch 300 (the old version of Sound bar 700)?

    Cheers

  • My review after a couple months with this. I bought the soundbar 700 + bass module 700 + surround speakers (roughly $1800 after cashback). Overall, I probably would have chosen something else if I had the chance as overall the ease of use and Bose's QC is a bit disappointing.

    • The sound is awesome when it works (see below points on the speakers not working).
    • The set really does look great. I also got the speaker stands for the surround speakers (another $200).
    • The pairing of the speakers through the app is very fiddly. Needed to try a few times before it worked. If it doesn't detect the speakers, try unplugging the speakers/sub from power to reset them.
    • One of the receivers for the surround speakers came with coil whine. I sent it off to get repaired and that took about 2 weeks.
    • Alexa on the soundbar works well but unfortunately has limited functionality with my Sony TV e.g. cannot tell Alexa to play shows on Netflix. I hear they released Google assistant on the soundbar in the US. Not sure if this will come to Australia.
    • The remote is heavy and lacks many of the buttons that are now standard on TVs (and you cannot reprogram the buttons) so is not actually very useful as a universal remote. Would have preferred a smaller and lighter remote with the soundbar.
    • The bass module (sub) died after about 2 months of use. No idea why, so had to send it off to get repaired.
