Another price drop on the standard versions of Anthem at both Amazon and JB Hifi.
Some will probably say it's still too much but $15 is probably the most I'd want to pay for the game.

Is the game still even alive? I thought they had less than 2500 people playing it at any one time.

    • +2

      Game is completely dead

    • It's very dead. Matchmaking takes forever and it eventually just drops you into almost every mission solo.

I'm waiting on $15 digital so I can game share it with my son. I wonder what the chances of this coming to PS Plus is?

    • +4

Probably zero chance of it coming to PS Plus. It's an EA game so it will go on EA Access (EA's own subscription service) which is coming to PS4 this month.

      • i did not know this was coming to ps4.

Waiting till it drops as free to play full of suprise mechanics!

it'll be free to play soon enough… just wait and see…

Another Destiny killer which only managed to kill itself.

Boggles the mind how no one has managed to create a decent rpg loot shooter. I’d love an FPS ARPG, basically Diablo/Path of Exile in FPS genre. Destiny is not even that good. It’s just the least shitty depiction. Feels like there’s a boatload of money to be made if someone can just get it right.

      • +2

I’d say Destiny did get it right given the player base and money it’s making.

      • +1

Borderlands is pretty good in this regard. IMO.

        • Yep I always found Destiny to just be a Borderlands clone without the fun or humour (ok I only played the beta of Destiny 1 and I assume things have changed but I never cared to find out)

I hope by $15 you mean they are gonna pay me $15 to play this vanilla game…

Don't reward mediocrity by paying EA for this half-baked over-hyped trash.

    • +1

I was coming here to make that joke.

  • $5 if that. Will be free to play one day.

Just coming in to see the comments on this game

  • Or Free with the $15 JB voucher. Too bad I don’t have that much time left.

    • +1

Seems like they knocked it down to $10

      • Quick question about that. Couldn't you just buy a cable for $5 and get $5 free? Then use the $10 voucher to buy another cable, get another $10 voucher. Rinse and repeat. Infinite free cables for $5? Was thinking about this the other day. Am I missing anything here?

        • You’d just need separate accounts. But that probably works.

          • @cnut: fantastic! free money :)

  • Biggest disappointment ever and waste of my money.
If I had my time again I wouldn't pay anything for this. Hurts to say that considering the past quality of Bioware (ie. KOTOR).

I really enjoyed my hour of gameplay. It was fun, but definitely loads of loading screens and was buggy and confusing. However it looked fantastic. I wouldn't pay more than $5 for it but for $5 it'd be a decent price. Game looks amazing and it's so fun to fly around and enjoy the scenery, going underwater and exploring. At $15 it's a stretch, especially on XB1/PS4 where you can't crank up the settings.

  • You'd have to pay me way more than $15 to play that shit game

  • PC copy from JB for $19

  • I'll give it a crack when it drops to $5.

  • They will 100% release this for free eventually like destiny did, do not even buy it for $1 just wait

    No steam or PC version?

    Wtf

    • it's a physical disc…..

      • yeah but not for PC
