  • HELL YEAH! I am getting a Superdry Brad leather jacket for $200! Cheapest was $280 from ASOS with 10% code, but $200 for local stock is a bagain for a badass jacket.

It doesn't say VIC only either, any stores listed!

    • +1

Got that from the recent DJs 50% off sale. I don't do leather, but @ $200, i definitely do now lol

      • I went to David Jones to try and buy it but it wasn't on sale, was $400 normal price :(

Did you get the black or brown? Can you tell me if the superdry label on it is white or orange?

        • It was black, no brown available (didn't ask but I've only seen black at DJs), and from memory its a black label. Is that the newer or older stock?)

        • Odd that it wasn't on sale though, since you said it was a normal price item. We went to the DJ in Melb CBD and all the Superdry items were on 50% as long as they had no 'reduced price' tag on it. The saleslady had to manually enter the 50% discount as they will all scan at normal price. We got a jacket for 50% off and saw quite a number of the leather ones.

      • I think the newest stock has the White Superdry logo on the upper left chest. The stock I saw at DJ had the orange. But it doesn't bother me really if I get orange or white.

        • oh, you're talking about the badge thing at the front? It was silver with orange. Is the new one white? I shall snoop around on google

  • oh, just realised this IS IN SYDNEY AS WELL WOOT lol

    • My bad… Updated the title.

  • anyone know how much a Superdry hoodie is? Saw a nice pair of boots on their UK site which for 50% off would probably be good value and great for winter to wear with jeans. At the moment all i have is dunlop volleys and a pair of camel suede desert boots.

    • hoodies are 100 cheapest i think, @ DJs they were, nicer ones were 130, ~160+. But I believe the older seasons that have gone past, had nicer gear than now.

  • a few weeks back DFO has Superdry for 70% off ;) storewide/

    • Very limited stock though.

    • which DFO? i dont remember i have seen superdry in homebush before. but there is a gstar shop there, i bought a jeans for 50bucks, good!

      • +1

there is no superdry at homebush. homebush dfo sucks balls, all crap stores with crap clothes.

      • Flockhart Street in DFO south wharf wasnt really superdry shop. But half of the shop was superdry.

  • +3

    no superdry at sydney dfo.

the sydney dfo is terrible waste of time i dont bother going anymore

    • +2

I used to go there once a month but I too realised that it is a waste of time going there. Nothing really worths to look at.

  • +13

I thought it was diesel fuel :(

  • +1

    I'm into SuperDry now.
Might see if theres any nice jackets, not that I need anymore ;)

  • +4

w00t ! perfect, just right after my exams !

To anyone who is interested in buying a leather jacket, I recently bought this one for my bf http://www.superdry.com/mens/leathers/details/28726/basic-bo… The AUS price is $450 rrp so with 50% it's a pretty good deal, slightly cheaper then what I had paid. The leather is very soft so prone to scuffing.

    • I was considering that Bomber jacket you linked or the Brad jacket. It seems the Brad is a bit more popular, and also $50 cheaper so might go with that.

    • Where can I get that jacket in Adelaide for a decent price. I am very tempted to grab it off ASOS for around $300 AUD delivered.

  • Picked up 50% of leather Superdry on DJ sale. excellent value when on sale.

Hate how some of their bigger, non-leather jackets feel so stiff and uncomfy.

  • you get the brad jacket??

Are there any other cool leather jackets?

what annoys me with superdry is the sizing. im normally a medium but with them i gotta go XL!

  • I don't get it, why has people gone into stores yet? Its not the 21st yet…I'm missing something here.

  • These people have got it from David Jones who apparently have 50% off Superdry.

But I went into DJ Sydney CBD and they had a few items on sale racks with markdown stickers, but they were not a full 50% off. And the leather jackets were sitting on their own racks at full price.

    • It was 50% but only for 2 days

  • -5

    still overpriced crap

    • -1

      still retarded comments

    • I guess I was right all along…

    • +1

pretty sure that's the same one i have, which i bought 3 years ago at SuperDry store in Chadstone.

      • ah kk. Does it sit tight and hug the body? im considering buying it off superdry.com cause when this deal starts by the time I get to the store itll be all gone cause I work and cant make it during the days

        • It is a pretty tight jacket. I usually go S when it comes to jackets but I had to get an M with this one. Be warned though, it is not a warm jacket at all, just windproof.

  • Don't think so, I wanted that Rifleman blazer as well but didn't see it anywhere.

Does anyone else own the Brad Leather jacket and what do you think of it??

    • I bought a Rifleman Blazer(black) a few months ago from DJ. The actual SuperDry store didn't have it back then.

  • any wool jacket that I can preview online?

  • why is 36" the smallest size… :(

btw whats the consensus about superdry's quality? what seems to be the appeal?

    • they are pretty tight though. I wear 36 or small normally and I wear medium in most of their stuff.

Quality is pretty good. Comfort for some jackets not so much. Style is the appeal?

  • superdry is good quality. the designs and the fact that david beckham wore the brad leather jacket is what made it popular..

I like their stuff, nice shirts too but they are horrendously overpriced at about $130 each! Saw them for $90 on sale, but that is still far too much.

    • If I generally wear medium in most clothing would a medium fit me nicely with superdry.

With G-star its always different one week ill buy a shirt in medium the next week ill buy a shirt in large

  • Well for Tshirts I would go a large.

If you want the brad leather jacket, you need extra large. sizing is very strange with superdry it's made for skinny japanese people I think.

hope your not fat either. tshirts are very tight and form fitting so if you got a belly it's gonna show lol.

    • lol that was just an example. Im not after a t-shirt im just after the rifleman blazer jacket. Also im not fat but rather picky with my clothes.

    • oh…crap…

  • i think you gotta try it on. wouldnt buy online without trying it. but i have never seen rifleman blazer in store here. I want that too so if you find it let me know. for $100 would be good

    • +2

      Yes, nothing for Brisbane. :(

    • +1

yes….. but as you may, or may not know…. we don't neg things just because it doesn't suit us personally…. others may be able to take up the deal…..

indeed you did, (eventually) but now, armed with new 'report button' information, you will be able to contribute more effectively.

Will be happy for a mod to remove once correction is made.

Without a report, the mods probably don't even know it's there….. however, no problems, the community seems to have organised it for you….

Thanks for showing me how to be awesome like you. I feel now that from this day forward, I can go out into the world and spread the gospel of andy19363 with a new viewpoint on life.

        • have faith…. you'll get there….

  • Sigh, I wish someone had posted about the 50% off deal at DJs for Superdry, I would have been in there in a flash for a couple of jackets…

    • The 50% deal was posted here, although it did not specifically say Superdry. Was a good sale as a lot of Menswear were 50% off.

  • For all those interested, went in to try on the Brad jacket and was advised that they are all out of stock Sydney wide.

The only one left is an XXL in Parramatta, and they won't be getting anymore stock in for a while.

They had a few more of the leather bomber jacket with the hoodie in the Sydney City store only.

    • I went into the Parramatta store last night and there was a medium for $275, rrp was $499. They were having a 30%-50% off already.

    • There's Brad jackets at the World Square store. There was an XL brown one and two more which I didn't know the size of.

  • oh what a load of shit. bet they are doing this on purpose so people cant get it..

  • I went in today to check out the brad jacket today in sydney.
it was already 30% off (280) i asked her if i could come back next week to pick it up during the sale
she said the sale is for 'full priced items only' so the jacket won't ever get reduced and will be at 30% off max

    can anyone else confirm?

    • that's a bit crazy. what's the point of a 'family & friends' 50% sale then.
they could just say the entire store is 30% off and that printout means jack.

it should be "ok it's 30% off now, you have printout, you can have 50% off RRP (ignore the current 30%)"
that's what other stores do when they have % off on items already discounted.

  • they had one?

anyway, it should be 50% off because it was at DJ..

  • wouldn't surprise me if they did have stock at other stores, the staff didn't seem like the smartest bunch and their system wasn't reliable, the system said they had 3 Brads at the Parramatta store.

The Brad was priced at $272 on sale, the 50% applies to full priced items, so it wouldn't surprise me if they don't further discount the Brad.

  • If you guys don't want to pay those prices, wait till ASOS has a 10-20% off. It's on their website for $267 which is already cheaper instore supposedly on sale.

  • oh it was $300 on ASOS the other day I was thinking of buying it when they had the 10% off voucher. would have been $280 but think i might wait for this 50% off.. hope i can find it cheaper

  • Yea they had ONE left! It was $280 i probably should have bought it in hindsight had i known it would have sold out

The system isnt responsible. The system showed there was 1 on the system but when they called the store there was none there. But according to them there will only be discounts on ful priced items and the brad will stay as is at 30% off.

Nubzy\Shue - do you have any ASOS codes?

    • Not atm. Last one finished on 10th June. Wait another week or so but no guarantees

  • I want a brad jacket too…since all the stocks are all gone in Sydney, does this deal applies to their online store as well?

  • hope it applies to online store or maybe DJ's.

The 50% off ralph lauren applied to both their own stores, and DJ's and Myer.

  • Is the sale still on? I went to DJ Melb CBD and had them scan the leather jackets. Came up as full RRP. :(

    • +1

It doesn't start till the 21st, also quite sure it wont be applicable at DJs as they would've stated it in the flyer; the discount is only available at the stores listed in the flyer.

  • starts tomorrow!!

Not sure im gonna be able to make it down. Might head to chatswood in the afternoon. hopefully I can find something for a good price that I actually like..

  • +2

Sydney CBD store was still unpacking stock at 930 this morning… heading back at lunch to check it out!

  • let me know if they got some brad jackets in there

  • would like to know also

  • ANYONE interested in the brad jacket
don't worry if you miss out at the sale

its on sale @ asos for 190AUD

  • umm, it says $299 for me??

not willing to pay that much, thats only $100 off.

  • +2

The sale should be open to the public soon (within a day)
I got an early preview to the sale through a facebook invite\promo they were doing.

It's 190 shipped to aus and they have it in black and brown all sizes

    • I got into the sale preview, but the brad leather is not in there..?

  • thanks for that then man. Soon as it goes public ill get one.

I guess I better head to DJ to try on and get the size right first.. they seem to be the only place in Aus that has em at the moment!!

  • Back from the Superdry in Westfield (Sydney CBD).

A lot of the stock is already discounted at 30% and therefore not eligible for the 50% off. No leather for guys that I could see, there were a couple of leather options for girls though.

Decent selection of hoodies at 30%, a handful at 50%.

    • +3

such a shame the 50% doesn't override the 30%. the perks of being family/friend :P

      • +2

        update.
just visited stores in Sydney (World Sq.) and the 50% applies to EVERYTHING in the store.
if it's already 30% off, they ignore it and apply 50% to original RRP price.

        • First time I have ever wished I was in Sydney ;)

  • +1

well thats a shame. 30% off is really not cheap at all, even at 50% its way overpriced but id be keen on the leather..

  • If I had not already voted, I would change it to a negative.

Superdry make great clothes, but this 50% off thing is borderline spam. Everything in the bloody store is 30% off so you cant even use the 50% the full retail off except one rack of crap they obviously cant sell.

Waste of time, its just to suck you in to the store hoping you will get a bargain, but theres no bargain to be had that isnt a regular discount anyway.

I tried to argue that the 50% off should apply to the full RRP, but they just dismissed it :( Meh.

    • I, on the other hand, got the opposite experience. I went to Superdry at World Square, presented my voucher and asked if it applied to the Brad.
The girl said yes but off the full retail price (so 50% off 399.95). I tried on the large and it fit well so I got it for $199.97 :) Definitely a positive from me!

      • beat me to it :P
I had the same experience. (50% of EVERYTHING)

  • Think it depends on which store you go to it would appear.
The above case definitely is not the case with the westfields superdry store.

  • Same here, Melb Central store.

30% sale on most items already but the sales rep just said deduct 50% off the RRP no probs.

Bought a top yesterday $110 (from $220) and a thick jacket (Black Premium) for $195 (from $390). In fact, I didn't even use the voucher today and she still gave me the 50% off. Perhaps my name and details are in the database from yesterday's purchase…

    Voted positive.

    • I just got back from my second visit to Melbourne Central Superdry store today, I argued with the store manager till I was blue in the face, quoted the quotes from here and showed her on my Ipad.

She said all her staff and herself were briefed from head office and prices that had a red sticker that were already reduced simply did not qualify for the 50% off and she refused to believe anyone had done this today at her store, and said that there is no way she would let me have the jacket I wanted at 50% off. She got pretty narky, and I was pretty pissed, but still bought my jacket as 30% off was just ok, not really the bargain I had hoped for…..

So if you are managing to get the 50% off the RRP of the already reduced 'sale items' (just about everything in the store) then you caught them off guard, or the item simply was not already on sale, therefore was eligible for the 50% off.

I still stand by my claim that the 50% deal is pretty much a load of bs, but at least I got 30% off so am somewhat happy.

      peace.

      • cant stand idiots that dont know how to run their shops. this is meant to apply to all items. I think some of them are being dodgy and marking them as 30% off to catch unaware people.

        • +1

Couldnt agree more mate, I asked to see where it stated that its not 50% off, she said 'excluding sale items' and I said yes I agree that it should not be off the sale price, but should be off the RRP, and tried to explain that is what its supposed to mean, but she said that its 'just how it is' and she doesnt make the rules, head office does blah blah blah

Shame as I would have been happy to buy a couple of other things at a 'reasonable' 50% off, but most of the things although great quality, I just couldn't justify them at 30% :(

Oh well, I saw lots of stock gone from the store between 12 ish and 5:30, and there were heaps of people lined up buying stuff, so they couldnt give a toss.

What really annoyed me is that its not consistent, one store (world square) says yep, and these scammers say nope. If I had the time, I would like to report them to the ACCC, not that they would probably care either lol

        • I went to two different Superdry stores (Chatswood, then The Galleries Victoria in Sydney) and both had completely different rules.

Chatswood claimed that the vouchers was only eligible for use with full priced items, excluding sale items. The only full priced items according to the shop assistant were some standard hoodies at the front of the store. I did not need to surrender my voucher.

TGV had most of its stock eligible for the voucher, excluding a big rack in the centre of the store, which had some Brad leather jackets. I needed to surrender the voucher here. I could have argued about the voucher, but could not be bothered.

No consistency with the promo between stores.

        • Disgustingly run promotion. I am not even going to bother going to Chatswood if thats their attitude.

Should be 50% off everything or dont even bother!

  • yes.. it should apply to the full price. They are idiots if they refuse to honor it on the 30% sale items. They should just take it off the RRP..

If anyone checks the chatswood store let me know if they got any Brads. im not gonna be able to make it today.

  • Has anyone seen the mens bomber leather hoodie anywhere in Sydney?
