Maybe at the time, it hasn't aged all that well if you don't have the nostalgia in your back pocket. i.e. If you are watching it for the first time, you might not find it anywhere near as funny .

Why should that make a difference? He purchased them. He should be able to watch them anywhere.
He can as long as he isn't daft and tries to convert his iTunes account to another country that has completely different licensing agreements and availability of titles. Just start a different iTunes account for the new country and log back into the old one as and when you want to. I have my UK iTunes account and my Oz iTunes account. Simple.
I have found that if the show has been cancelled it will also disappear from iTunes
Got the dvd set nearly a decade ago and still treat myself to a few episodes every now and then. Got it as a present but was priced at about $200 if I'm not mistaken. $40 is a steal if you use apple tv or itunes to watch your stuff.
Another good comedy to fall asleep to. Dont have to be watching. Just listen and smile as you go bye bye.

I can't say. The restoration is being done as is, so original framing, but whether they then release it that way, I don't know.
