Why do Sony have so many refurbished XM's on sale at their store? It's like their way of selling these things at a market value price without saying they are new. Alot of buyers of these have said there's nothing wrong with them. Even the packaging. Am I onto something? Like who would pay the retail price?

I think there's a difference between refurbished and B-stock. These were listed as refurbished a week ago now they listed as B-stock with manufacturer refurbished in the description. What exactly are we buying?

      • Correction on my post. A few people who did get the B Stock had no issues. But even refurbished buyers didn't find the units themselves with any problems. They were new. Maybe the units just had software updates?

  • What's the warranty on these?

The previous Addicted to Audio deal is cheaper and people have been reporting getting pretty much new stock: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/463154

    • Silver is only available though.

  • Just a question :(

I bought SONY WH1000X3 a month ago in a duty free shop and I was using it very well until some water randomly went into the headphones so it won't charge anymore.
Which shop should I go to in Sydney? They only have sony stores but not sure whether they also do some repairs as well..

Try the Sony store, but suspect it will need to go to the authorised repair shop. Wouldn't say it got water in it, but that its now not working. As its up to them to see what's wrong with it. Just have your receipt. IMO

      • Thanks Debny I will give it a try :)
