[QLD] Yamaha YSP-5600BMK2 Soundbar with Sub - $1621 (Was $2495) @ Harvey Norman, Hervey Bay

50

Was going to buy this online with 20% off sale, but dropped into Harvey Norman and it was 35% off right there on the shelf (Harvey Norman Hervey Bay - but could be on 'clearance' elsewhere too). Going to pick one up this week!

It may be in store only as website still shows full price.

It's a well reviewed soundbar with pretty great reviews on the whole. I hope this helps someone!

Geez if you are gonna spend that much on a Soundbar it'd pay to look at alternative options…. Unless of course the other half wears the pants…

    • Yamaha is a good brand.

      What do you recommend?

      • Never said it wasn't. I'd be looking at seperate home theatre components. Even 2 high end active speakers with a sub if you still want clean. $2500 on a sound bar is absurd.

  • I got a YSP-1000 for about half that 5 years ago. It is fantastic, this must sound pretty epic.

  • Which store?

  • Showing $2495 now. Deal expired /Price error?

Great soundbar but if you're planning on running your devices through this to the tv, be aware it does not do HDR passthrough.

This is the YSP-5600BMK2 - which does do HDR passthrough. The older YSP-5600 doesn't.

      • I may stand corrected here - further research shows that it doesn't, but it can be rectified by getting a device with 2x HDMI outputs such as an AVR-Key. Or a lot of Blu-Ray players have 2x HDMI outputs.

        • The only Yamaha soundbar that does HDR pass through is the YSP-2700

          • @abc12345: Well lucky I found that out! Might go with the LG SL10YG instead… I thought I had made a decision. Back to the research for me!

$2500 for nearly 5 year old tech? You can't help but think that a lot of that money was going in to it being the first Dolby Atmos soundbar where as now there are loads of them. You're better off with the Samsung HW-Q90R or better still save yourself loads and get last years Samsung HW-N950.

    • It's not 5 year old tech. That might have been the first model. This out performs that Samsung in all the tests I've seen…
