Samsung Galaxy S10e 128GB - $749 (Expired), S10 512GB - $1349 C&C /+ $5 Express Delivery @ JB Hi-Fi

540

Looks like JB Hi-Fi is matching Amazon's Prime Day S10e deal, but also has a deal on the S10 512GB model, bringing it down to the same price as the 128GB one.

Galaxy S10e 128Gb (Black) - $749
Galaxy S10 512GB (Black) - $1349

End date not stated so get it fast if wanted. Seems like a good deal to me, especially if you were planning on getting an S10, it's a free upgrade to 512GB!

What a joke. Wouldn't price match the good guys at 800 but happy to sell it at $749? Haha..

JB hifi are notorious for making up random excuses to not honour. If they ended up getting sued for it, that would be nice.

I asked them multiple times over email if they match Amazon Australia. My query made it to "Colleen Bishop NSW – Area Manager". They refuse to state whether it is nor not and put up smoke and mirrors.

As you can see in this thread, it is rampant:

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/427848

I find it funny that they use excuses like "sorry, can't price match because it is under our purchase price". Well…. where in the terms does it say that? Why even have a price match policy if you aren't willing to match the price? If you need to take a loss on occasion, isn't that exactly what needs to happen?

      It doesn't sound legal.

    • Was that an eBay coupon?

Price match the S10e at OW for nearly $711 !

    • Or use 5% off giftcards for jbhifi. But max spend is $500 on suncorp so would have to split between 2 cards, if that is possible.

    • It's out of stock in a lot of OW stores

      • They must've pulled them all out of the shelves. :(

  • Which screen is better, which screen is curved and which screen is not curved?

    • S10e not, but the other s10 yes

    • +2

S10e has a smaller screen (5.8") with a lower resolution (1080p) but is not curved. S10 has a 6.1" screen at 1440p but is curved. Overall, the S10 has the better screen unless you dislike the curve.

    • +1

I prefer flat. The two issues I have with curve screen is the blue tint I can see at the curved sections (especially from an angle) and it's a real pain to apply the screen protector (so it is a big plus S10 and S10 Plus now have screen protector already applied - decent one that doesn't attract fingerprints like crazy compared to the cheap one).

Thing is, if you want 1440p from Samsung, your only choice is curved screen. Go to a JB Hi Fi store and see S10e and S10 side by side to decide. 1440p does make text crisper.

      • Yeah, it's one of my biggest gripes with my S10 Plus, there's no real point to the curved screen just makes it super hard to find a good glass screen protector.

        • form over function. looks cool, offers no benefit and is a glaring weak spot.

  • i checked on JB's commercial website - they have not lowered the s10e - still 999.
(was hoping they would lower the commercial price as well - wishful I guess)

    • They usually do this! I don't like it as it is bad customer experience

  • Why delivery when possible pick up

    • +2

Because if you feel your local JB Hi Fi staff are nasty and unfriendly, then you might prefer delivery.
Though, pick up might be better if they can arrange a digital receipt, maybe the $10 or $15 voucher offer is still available.

  • Good if you have a $500 or $200 gift card from the many recent JB Telstra deals.

Hahahahahahhahaha JB you’ve done it again. Always the bridesmaid but never the bride.

    • LOL!!! Shots fired.

      • PEW PEW

    • $641.52 with shopback

  • Something gotta give

  • +1

Anyone know how many gift cards you can use in a single purchase online?

  • +1

I love my S10e. I will now be using the 28 Degrees price protection to get the refund. It's a lot of phone for a touch over $700!

    • Are you able to claim against the amazon prime price, or only the jb hifi price?

  • +1

Amazon dropped to 729 i got 2 at 749 each just called and got 40 credit to account

  • +2

Why not just buy from Amazon and stop supporting these JB bastards. They seriously needs to stop making bs excuses about not price matching/beating.

Amazon have it at $729 now https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07NWX638T?th=1

    • NOT only that, if you use cashback 3.5% itll bring it down to $703. Beats every single deal.

can someone please provide the link to Amazon's $729 each?

  • Will OW price match with Amazon?

    • +1

it is a dollar cheaper at OW at the moment ($728), so you can't use price beat.

      • Very clever move from OW.

  • S10 is cheaper on Facebook Marketplace

  • is amazon still doing samsung s10e for $728 ?
