“The first Velvet Underground album only sold 10,000 copies, but everyone who bought it formed a band.”

You can snag this one for $20 pretty often and vinyl pressings from Amazon are becoming famous for dubious quality, but at this price it's hard to go wrong for one of the greatest albums ever recorded.

  • Thanks be grabbing Pet Sounds (my favourite album) and The Doors.

  • Do you have a link to the albums starting later?

Alternatively, do you know their starting times?

Are you planning on updating the deal as new albums go live? (If not I'll set the deal expiry to 18:00AEST.)

    • +2

I was weighing it up doing it at the time but decided against as there's no pricing yet. Of course no problem with updating.
Happy to post them as they come but could be delayed depending on my boss's presence :P

      • No problems. I'll keep an eye on the deal and mark the albums expired when they expire.

  • I ordered this before reading the reviews. It seems both this and pet sounds are the same dodgy pressing so I just cancelled my order.

    • +1

I'm not exactly sure of the review situation for records on Amazon but they seem to be generic, or at least specific to the album and not the pressing. I've bought a few times from these deals and I have been burned (got a copy of Art Blakey's Moanin' that's just trash) but I've also got fine records from these deals too. Annoying that people never seem to post the specifics of the edition in their negative reviews.

      • +1

From my experience it’s Amazon piling reviews related to an item, regardless the details. It happens not just for records.

      • amazon likes to keep it generic i reckon, bit of a shoddy business if you ask me, almost aliexpress level

    • Hmmm, should i cancel my Pet sounds purchase?

      • +1

I've rolled the dice on a few but I'm willing to cop them as display items if they truly suck. Though of course, Pet Sounds deserves only the best quality listening.

  • would prefer Blue Lines in vinyl

  • Updated the deal with all the current albums. Enjoy 💿
