When you can have 32GB more for another $20 on the full Telstra network using Boost's standard 365 day offering, even ignoring the overseas calling benefits, this isn't really much of a bargain.

I get 150mbps down on Kogan. Don't care about overseas calling, and I'm sure there will come a time where I wished I had Telstra, but that hasn't happened yet

      • I actually get better speed where I live with Kogan(Voda) than Boost, whereas I have always found Optus woeful in the Marion/Warradale area, with my having to take Amaysim off-line at the rear of supermarkets and stores to quiet the constant " lost signal" alarms, and calls dropping out to/from Optus devises withing a minute. I've had " phone not available" quite a few times when trying to find an Amaysim carded phone that is in the same f*&^ng room at times when a signal was showing on that phone, and a "missed call" message popping up soon after…

I know that different carriers have different signal strength in differing areas, but Optus have beed crap everywhere I've used them, making this Coles offer even less of a "bargain". Still, there may well be spots where their reception makes them a good bet and Voda/Telstra are lacking…

FOr those still tempted, this may be a better way to test the water:

    • +1 for boost

If Optus coverage is fine (which in most cases it isn't), CatchConnect's 375GB plan would be better for $205.
That's only if you need that much data…

These MVNOs are really struggling to compete with the Boost offering. They may as well all shut down if this is the best they can do.

    • Yeah, it isn't just them; Singtel is bleeding money apparently.

I'm not sure if they are pumping money into those Amaysim deals or not. I think that's a bad strategy. The real money is in the yearly plans that are priced well.

It also locks in some revenue for Singtel.

In other news, TPG has started to build their network in Singapore.

    Catch Connect 365 Day Mobile Plan with 42GB - $99 a year.

    • Does both of them come with international call?

    • Use cashrewards and get $10 back :)

  • Is this eligible for the Litttle Shop?

  • This is a bargin.

  • It's available again. Just wondering, does anyone know if you can get this if you are already a Coles prepaid customer doing month to month? I wouldn't mind saving $50 and not having to think about recharging for a year… do they just give you a voucher with it that has the $180 value needed for a year recharge?
