Boost Mobile: $55 Cashback on 365GB Prepaid 12-Month Expiry SIM for $320 Delivered @ TopCashback AU

120

Costs $265 after cashback for 365GB 12-month prepaid SIM. Boost has reduced the price from $365 to $320.

Cashback is on the purchase of the physical SIM only. You can convert to eSIM after you have received the physical SIM. Activate the physical SIM first, then convert to eSIM.

What will stop me getting my cashback

  • SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase, and must not be deactivated until your cashback is payable. If the SIM is deactivated prior, Boost may decline cashback.
  • Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions. If there is more than one SIM in an order, it will result in an untracked purchase and the purchase will be ineligible for cashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on eSIMs, recharges, phones, bundles, accessories.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of gift cards for payment and/or purchase of gift cards.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential

  • Engaging with plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, VPNs, and browsers such as Brave may prevent your order from tracking.
  • You must always return to TopCashback and click the pink cashback button through to the retailer's website for each new transaction. Ensure the TopCashback link is the last one used to visit the retailer's website prior to completing your purchase.
  • Any accounts that engage in fraudulent orders/activities to game/cheat the cashback system will be banned and cashback forfeited.

    So new customers only?

    • As an existing Boost customer, you would port out of Boost into a different provider e.g. $2 Telstra SIM. Then port back into Boost with the new SIM as a new customer (and keeping your current mobile number). I've explained the steps here.

  • Need a cheap 1 month plan while I move out and wait for a boost deal - any one have a suggestion?

        That's cheap after cashback.

Another option although not as cheap is this $10 Amaysim offer from Woolworths plus 600 Everyday Rewards bonus points (worth $3). Will cost about $7.

If this is a concern, Amaysim uses the Optus network but was not directly impacted by the 2022 Optus data breach as their customers' information was not stored on the same servers as Optus.

What is the cheapest post paid by your account? Is it Felix https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/906367 ?

          • +2

@Miroslav: Sorry I'm not familiar with postpaid plans. Felix Mobile plans are prepaid, not postpaid. That's another option for @Elijha The unlimited 1 month plan will cost $5 after cashback. Pay $16 and get $11 cashback from TopCashback.

      • +2

@Elijha @Miroslav Just a heads up in case you bought the Optus offer from Cashrewards. T&Cs have changed to: "Requires activation within 28 days of purchase. Service must maintain an active recharge state for 90 days post activation".

        • Thanks. They've changed T&Cs mid promotion and essentially killed the deal.

          • +1

@Miroslav: Unfortunately Cashrewards also changed this Vodafone offer that I posted. $5 cashback advertised but tracked at 82c. Then Cashrewards changed to $0 cashback. It was difficult to keep up and I haven't posted another Cashrewards offer since 😂

Careful. TopCashback are pretty bad with cashback tracking. Bought in the last deal in February. Still awaiting the cashback (it didn’t even get registered ) . Lodged a missing cashback claim. No action yet on it as well.

    • +1

Sorry to hear you're still waiting on the missing cashback claim payment. If you purchased from the 28th Feb offer, it's not unusual to be still waiting as it's just over 3 months. It's probably close to being paid as they can take about 3-4 months or even longer. As mentioned in my previous reply in March, you can contact TopCashback at:

As a comparison, I had waited 7 months to be paid a missing cashback claim with Cashrewards. Hopefully TopCashback will pay you soon.

    • Yeah, I had the same. Not great!

  • Anyone here facing the link to top cash is not working? I can visit their site but after I click $55 cash back the site fails.

    • Just tried and no issues at my end.

      • Are you using iPhone —-> Chrome or Edge? Both are not working when I try to purchase. This is after you click on the $55 cashback.

        • I've been able to get to Boost website & page with the SIM plan via TCB's app and website using an iPhone (mobile data, Safari).

Boost website and SIM plan via TCB app also works on my Android phone (mobile data, Chrome) and TCB website on PC (Chrome).

Have you tried clearing your browsing history?

  • I've been able to get to Boost website & page with the SIM plan via TCB's app and website using an iPhone (mobile data, Safari).

I just tried again no luck on Safari. I get an error Safari cannot reach the server. Maybe they blocked my ISP?

  • Guys it’s only working on private browsing.
    1. Will topcash track?
    2. Do I login to boost during the purchase?

    • Just checking you're in Australia. There were comments here about being blocked when located overseas.

      1. Will topcash track?

TopCashback does not recommend private browsing. I've read contradictory comments on tracking with private browsing. I had used Chrome Incognito with cashback a few times and they had all tracked and paid. Haven't used with Boost purchases. I don't currently use private browsing.

From TopCashback: How can I make sure I receive my cashback?

7 Tips to Maximize Your TopCashback Experience

      1. Allow third-party cookies
      2. Disable Blockers
      3. Close All Tabs, Apps and Extensions
      4. Check if You Can Use the Retailer's App (Cannot use Boost app for cashback)
      5. Allow Cookies
      6. Avoid Incognito Mode
Avoid private browsing to ensure accurate tracking.
      7. Use Recommended Browsers
If you're facing problems, switch to another browser (except Safari or Firefox), as it might solve the issue. We recommend using Google Chrome.
      1. Do I login to boost during the purchase?

Don't think so. I haven't login to Boost when I bought the Boost 28-Day SIM cards.

With the 12-Month SIM card, on the checkout page, it will ask for your ID (Australian driver's licence or Australian passport). You'll need to show the same ID you used in your order to the delivery person.

      • Don't think so. I haven't login to Boost when I bought the Boost 28-Day SIM cards.

Thanks a lot. I have checked and it seems there’s an issue with their server connecting to More ISP.

Just to clarify with this $55 offer I can port my number lets say from Amaysim to Boost?

How can I check that my purchase was tracked?

How long do I have to wait to withdraw the $55?

I bought so many SIM cards never had to show my ID. For this if I’m not home are they going to take the sim to local post office?

        • +1

@justanick Here's more info to ensure tracking with TopCashback that the rep tightarse had mentioned:

          • For tracking success, disable/remove all 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave, close additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from TopCashbackAU as tracking will be lost. TopCashbackAU must be the very last click/tap prior to purchase. Try our iOS/Android mobile app for improved tracking results.
          • Apart from ensuring you’re not using an AdBlock app for Safari, the most important one is to ensure you have ‘Prevent Cross-Site Tracking’ turned off (see here).

Just to clarify with this $55 offer I can port my number lets say from Amaysim to Boost?

Yes, choose ‘Keep existing number’. Porting info from Boost here:

How do I bring my number to Boost Mobile?

How can I check that my purchase was tracked?

Tracking time varies from a few minutes to a few hours.

          • You will receive an email that says "Your order has been tracked".
          • If tracked, your order will be under Earnings in this link.

On the TopCashback website (not app), you can also check your last "click" to Boost or any retailer in this link. The time updates with each new click.

To view all your clicks in the last 100 days, you will need to visit the missing cashback claims page on the TopCashback website (not app). Select the clicked retailer on the claims page in this link. Here is also where you submit a missing cashback claim for non-tracking.

How long do I have to wait to withdraw the $55?

Cashback for Boost SIM cards is usually paid in about 3 months. The transaction in TopCashback says "Estimated Payable 15 Weeks".

I bought so many SIM cards never had to show my ID. For this if I’m not home are they going to take the sim to local post office?

Telstra/Boost uses StarTrack and you will receive notifications on your phone and email. It would usually be delivered to your local post office if you're not at home. You will need to show your ID at the post office.

          • @trixieb: Great thanks a lot. Downloading the topcash app was the key and everything now works.
My per year data usage won’t go up significantly as I’m happy with 120GB. I was on a 170GB plan which is no longer offered.

I’m waiting on a good offer on their 300GB plan. 360GB seems over kill for me.

Do you reckon they would advertise cheaper cash back on 300GB plan?

  • Hey, just wondering can i transfer to e-sim after recieving the physical card? Is the cashback still working?

    • Cashback is eligible when you buy the physical SIM, activate it and then convert to eSIM.
