Great price but I'd still be inclined to go with the V7 for the better battery life. David Jones and Kogan have it for $399, otherwise Big W has the Animal variant for $450….most places seem to be selling the 'cord-free/motorhead' variant for $450.

Depends on your needs, but the minimum I would get is the v8 absolute.

If you have a small area to vacuum, then this should work for you and is a great deal.

Or a Xiaomi Dreame. Going from a V6 to the Xiaomi is significant upgrade…

I got my v8 from the us for $200usd, but would definitely get the xiaomi if I didn't already have a vacuum.

Waiting for their toothbrushes to go on sale

        • Do you know if the Xiaomi is better than the v7 or v8

The V7 produces a fraction of the noise of the V6. I've had TWO V6s and both of them have failed in 2-3 years so save your money and get the V7 or later instead.

Changed batteries already for both units. One of them doesn't vacuum well and will stop if the suction is too high. The other will occasionally stop after 30 seconds of usage even though it's on full battery and will have to reconnect it again for 10 seconds before it comes on.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend the V6 after these experiences - go to V7 and above.

I'm the opposite. I keep waiting for my v6 to die so I can upgrade to a newer one but it just keeps going and going at almost 5 years now. I've changed the battery once and use it at least twice a week

      • +1

We use it twice a day mainly after meals!

        • Your place must be sparkling clean lol

      • Did you get genuine battery?

My original one died. I bought 3rd party but it doesn't have enough power to run the vacuum continuously in turbo mode.

        • I did.. Thats how I got the second V6 - I bought it and tested components from it and still had the issue. Even bought another genuine battery and still no good. Using the second V6 for about 18 months now that has the intermittent issues as described above..

      • I'm similar. My V6 had intermittent issues so I bought a Dreame. Then I thoroughly cleaned the V6, including inside the motor and it works brilliantly again now. I'd suggest doing a really good clean and seeing if it'd restore the unit.

Going on 5 years, original battery, vacuum once per week but large area till it runs out of battery. Using the Dreame when V6 runs out of power. Both perform well.

  • I saw v7 $399 at costco.
My 7 years old dc45 is still working:)

V7 Motörhead (RRP $599) has come down a few times recently to $359 and probably will again (on sale for $449 with extra 20% off at TGG) is you can wait.

I bought one recently and absolutely love it. Works better than I expected and very quiet.

      Motörhead sounds better loud!

  • I saw this deal yesterday. Was looking for >= v7 too, but at this price I figure it will do the job for our needs.

  • When you say Xiaomi Dreame, you mean this one - Xiaomi Dreame V9?
I need to buy new cordless vacuum but it's all a bit confusing. Price up to $350 - which one is best in terms of suction power, I need it to pick up dog hair from my couch.
I have plenty of Ryobi one+ batteries, even considering Ryobi from bunnings :)

  • What is the differences between Animal Extra and Animal Origin?
