Help Finding an Affordable Round Glass Display Cabinet

As per the title, im really struggling to find a rounded glass display cabinet for my partner (she wants a rounded one specifically and ideally full glass), particularly in Perth. Everything seems to be designer only!
This is pretty much exactly what i want but the pricing is still crazy: https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-view-details.html?adId=12234196…

Anyone have any idea where I might find someone with something affordable? Happy to entertain anything close-ish to be honest, though the closer to the above, the better!

    Is this yours?

Because I like that you apparently stole pictures from the other gumtree listing, and said that no price is too high or low, while clearly thinking that their listed price is too high (which is obviously is).
Either that or Perth is wild for round glass display cabinets

I'd offer those guys somewhere between $50-250, depending how bad you wanted it.
Maybe more if it's super nice or in demand or something, but you can hardly give away furniture on gumtree.

    • You got me, yes thats my advert. For reference, I made that "no price too high or too low" offer in the context of being happy with something similiar rather than just the exact same thing, it was just the closest to what i'd call ideal i could find. For example something like say the old Nick Scali one they don't seem to sell anymore ( https://www.facebook.com/NickScaliFurniture/posts/our-displa… )

Apparently someone wants them because they're never cheap! In that particular case the seller claims to have 2 left. I'd considered offering that low but i can't really find much of a comparison to avoid offering an insultingly low price for what the product is. I'm not looking to be "that guy" if i can help it but i'm starting to think i might not be…

Frameless glass display cabinets are expensive if you want something other than a Ikea glass-door cabinet.

Have you tried second hand/vintage/antique stores in your area?

The gumtree cabinet is a stunning item and I think you may find it difficult to find something as nice for a better price. Make an offer since they are open to negotiation.

    Good luck!

    • Yeah I started with Ikea, would be a MUCH simpler option but no, it has to be rounded, no negotiation. >.<

I hadn't considered seeing if there were any specialty antique stores or similiar, are there any around perth metroish area that come well regarded?

I'm in Syd so google is your friend re: Perth stores.

        Consider also second hand shopfitters.

I've done a little bit of figure collecting and am in a couple of facebook groups where these sort of listings get posted a bit. From my experience you won't find any cheap rounded ones new, only flat packed square/rounded ones. You'll have to keep an eye out on Gumtree/FB marketplace for ex shop displays, they're in the 1-2k price range new so you're probably looking at about $500 for a fair price used.

    • Any chance of linking any of these facebook groups? I'm happy to wait if you have any you think are sure to turn up something. $500ish is probably within the price range if i stretched a bit so that seems like a very good starting point.

      • When I say they get posted on the groups I mean the Gumtree ads get linked. Sorry dude.
