Can anyone tell about the quality of this?
Previously bought a similar one from Dshop, the quality is worst than a toy.

        ok

Bought one for the kids, they are terrible, better off getting a flat desk from Ikea.

          • @Fred: Can we get some details on why this is so terrible

          • +1

@Fred: agree, looked at these instore when looking for kids desk. Price is probably realistic now for its quality.
            poor quality boards, and fittings.

@Fred: Is your review for the desk or the kids?

Using one as we speak, a bit wobbly on carpet nothing major though, takes a while to build. Fits my officeworks chair underneath though and I bought this due to its small size/limited space to fit a desk. Wood is quite sturdy. Overall happy with purchase (paid $99).

    • just put ours together. As you'd expect, the quality is quite bad; but will suffice for the 9-y-o I bought it for

  • How much did it use to sell for before this clearance price?

    • $99

I bought 2 and have assembled them. Easy to assemble and everything fit well.

Just put one together and it's pretty average. If you get one go real easy on the cam locks they're very fragile. I found on mine I had to back off the cam posts on some to keep from braking the cams. The flat packs I've had from Ikea and Aldi seem to be of a better quality but for $67 it's not too bad.

      • Really? All my camlocks fit really well and I really like the use of camlocks instead of screws because it makes assembly much faster and easier. I say the quality of this would be in-between Super Amart/Fantastic Furniture and Ikea.

it used to be 100. for that it was a good deal. i have bought it twice. if you disassemble it then..its never the same. but i like it for the storage option it provides. structuraly its ok..but the melamine is paper. used to be better when i firat bought in 2010.
    for 67 ill buy again.

    shit desk shit price

  • This one used to be $347
Perfect quality, I have one and I am so happy with it

  • Add Assembly
$65.00 Assembly fee + $35.00 Call out fee*

Wonder how many people would take up that optional extra..

    • It took me about 3 hours to put together on my own. I'm not sure how long it is supposed to take.

Purchased one last week for this price. Good desk for the price if you ask me. Just need to find the right size file folders for it. If anyone does let me know. Would purchase again

  • Sturdy structure (for a young kid), crappy finish.

  • Go two deals down, buy the impact driver and drill, buy an acacia panel and some furniture legs from bunnings, make your own.

Bought this a few months ago. Little annoying to put together but mine seems pretty solid to me. Enough space to sit at my computer and plenty of storage shelves and options.
For an small simple cheap desk at this price is pretty good value.

  • When building, use wood blue in every hole for extra strength

    • Maybe except the middle section where you join the Hutch with the table. Incase, you want to move houses, it would make it easier/safer to separate both first.

  • Okay desk, I bought it cause I live in a small flat and works well in our space.
