This is like asking how long a piece of string is …

  • I also suggest the AMEX essential card. AMEX has a good website and app, customer support is great, and they support Apple/Google/Samsung Pay. Most of the places you might use regularly (Coles/Woolies/larger chain stores, local IGA's etc) usually accept with no fee.

If you want a Mastercard, some have recommended the ME bank Frank card. $0 fee, 11.99%, 55 days IF. https://www.mebank.com.au/frank/ - no Apple/Google/Samsung Pay though.

I would never recommend an AMEX as your only credit card, given there is no guarantee you can use if everywhere, and very often it incurs a fee - making it decidedly not fee-free.

Depends what you want to use it for.

    28 degrees for overseas
    Coles to earn flybuys
Amex if you want to take advantage of their offers

Citi simplicity for fee free visa and a fee free Amex for points
