I was almost gonna claim, then I saw it has 17% on Rotten Tomatoes (only 6 reviews though)

    • +8

why do you think these end up on ShowFilmFirst!! lol

    • +5

I'm always a bigger fan of IMDB. In this case it's just too early to determine.

And do you really think the US reviewers would like a film glorifying Aussie diggers, with no mention of the yanks? Doubt it

    • +11

Watched it last night and I have to say that the 17% RT rating is just rubbish.

      Enjoyable movie.

    • Probably voted by 6 commies

  • Got some tickets, thanks, the link came via email.

  • How do u claim these tix please

  • I'm logged in and nothing is showing. Just theatre shows in London

    • You have to follow a link they sent to you via email or one of the links shared on OzBargain. ShowFilmFirst is primarily a business that service the UK market.

  • When I log in it says my email wasn't on the list and is then asking for a screening code. I'm in Adelaide.

  • Yes me to and I'm in Sydney

  • So it's targeted

  • I got the email today and thought it was a reminder from StudentEdge.

Looks like I have 4 tickets now.

  • Yep it’s targeted you need an email code……bummer

I was able to get free tickets via link: https://www.showfilmfirst.com/pin/104012
Tickets are still available at locations NSW, VIC, WA, ACT, SA, QLD

  • If some body can put together a GFC 2.0 I would paid to see it now. Straya housing bubble, China + America's debts, Duestch Bank's share price, at but not least the Brexit.

Saw the pre-screening in Vmax via ShowFilmFirst on Monday night, followed by a Q&A session with director, producer and four of the cast (- including Travis Fimmel!). Gotta say it's a great movie (9/10 for me); IMDB is spot on and RT is completely off in this instance. Definitely worth the free tickets!

This is an excellent film. I saw it last night at Castle Hill.

They were invited by the South Vietnamese, who were getting invaded by the North. Please research your history.

    • +7

Read some real history about the Vietnam war. The 1960's were a very different time to today. Modern Russia was then the USSR (something like China is going to be soon) and were hellbent on World domination. Rightly or wrongly, the West, but mainly the US, didn't want that to happen and pushed back. We went along for the ride!

Never forget that freedom is never free.

  • Looks like all the tickets are gone in WA.

  • What is the screening code?

  • +3

The Yank reviewers mightn't like the film, but their military academies use the battle tactics used by the 100 Australians to hold off 2000+ Viet Cong at Long Tan as an exemplary example!

  • How strict is the name checking on one of these vouchers?

    • +1

Generally not strict. I have never been asked for id. However you may be queried if there is an obvious gender mismatch between you and the name on the ticket.

    • +1

I usually hand them my print out or tell them the name to cross off the list. Yes, I have never been asked for ID before.

      • Do they scan the QR code / does that contain info that is linked to the name on the original voucher?

        • in VIC cinemas, they have never checked my ticket

  • Got a couple, thanks OP!

    • No longer available

  • Signed up for a new account and got the email about 30 mins later, got the tix no problems.

  • Hmmm…

Keep your secret to yourself to avoid any upset. Similarly, don’t talk about where you get all your exciting tickets from on social media

Please remember if you got tickets and can't go, to release them back to the internets for people who missed out :)
