  • Your Internet Plan must be activated within 30 days from the date of application.
  • Eligible Recipients will receive the applicable Event Cinemas Family Voucher® (“eVoucher”) by email up to 90-120 days after connecting to the relevant plan/s.
  • Econnex Comparison is not liable if any Customer details supplied are incorrect.
  • You must be an Australian resident aged 18 or over. Econnex Comparison may request you to provide a copy of your valid ID for identification purposes.
  • The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity to receive the Event Cinemas Family Voucher® (“eVoucher”) and Customer’s information (including the Customer’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the claim process, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardize fair and proper conduct of the promotion.
  • Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
  • When the request for a switch or connection cannot be completed, is unsuccessful, or a request is made for the cancellation of your Electricity Plan and/or Gas Plan within the first 45 days from the date of activation, you will not be eligible to receive any eVoucher. There may be additional fees charged to the Customer by the chosen retailer in these events.
  • When the request for a switch or connection cannot be completed, is unsuccessful, or a request is made for the cancellation of your Internet Plan within the first 45 days from the date of activation, you will not be eligible to receive any eVoucher. There may be additional fees charged to the Customer by the chosen retailer in these events.
  • If you transfer your service, you may have to pay a cancellation fee to your existing service provider, and there may be other consequences if you end your existing contract early.
  • The Event Cinemas Family Voucher® is issued and distributed by The Greater Union Organisation Pty Ltd trading as Event Cinemas (ACN 000 024 439) (Event).
  • The eVoucher will activate in 24 hours after receipt of the email from [email protected] containing a unique URL for your Event Cinemas Family Voucher®
  • The eVoucher will expire on the date indicated on the eVoucher.
  • The eVoucher entitles the holder to 1x Family Pass (2x Adult and 2x Child or 1x Adult and 3x Child) admission to the same G/PG rated Original session at Event, BCC or Greater Union. Child is aged 3-15 years inclusive.
  • The eVoucher RRP is based off a full price ticket
  • The eVoucher does not include Food and beverages
  • Items cannot be split for separate entry to different movie, cinema, date or time. Not valid for use at Moonlight Cinemas or Skyline Drive In. Not valid for use in ACT. The eVoucher cannot be redeemed for Gold Class, Premium Seating concepts, 4DX, Boutique, ScreenX, IMAX, Event Junior, Movie Marathons, Chicks At The Flicks, group bookings or any sessions classified as festivals, alternate content or special events including but not limited to foreign films.
  • Use your eVoucher to book online at eventcinemas.com.au (booking fees apply) or present your eVoucher in cinema. Surcharges apply to upgrade to V-Max, 3D & Recliner screenings and must be paid at the time of redeeming the eVoucher.
  • 3D glasses sold separately. Seating is subject to availability. The bonus is on the holder to use the eVoucher on or before the specified expiry date. eVouchers will not be extended, replaced or exchanged and are invalid without an expiry date.
  • Do not share or disclose the barcode or PIN details to ensure your eVoucher remains secure. Once the barcode has been used it becomes void. Barcodes cannot be used more than once.
  • No refunds, other than those required by law, will be given after the date of purchase. No change given. Event Gift Shop assumes no responsibility where incorrect recipient and/or delivery information is provided during the checkout process.
  • eVouchers will be void and will not be redeemable if they are defaced, mutilated, altered or tampered with in any way, or if the eVoucher barcode is illegible. This eVoucher cannot be sold or exchanged without the prior written permission of the Greater Union Organisation Pty Ltd (GUO).
  • Any use of the company name, images or logos must have the prior written consent of GUO. GUO may subject eVouchers to verification and security checks in its absolute discretion.
  • GUO reserves the right to cancel any eVoucher, or the eVoucher scheme, for any reason at any time without notice. In these circumstances GUO may either provide a refund or a replacement of equivalent value unless it reasonably suspects fraud in relation to an eVoucher. Standard classifications apply.
  • Valid for use in Australia only.
  • Your eVoucher status (including expiry date) can be viewed online: eventcinemas.com.au/giftcard/balance. GUO reserve the right to change any terms contained in these Terms & Conditions at any time.
  • If the eVoucher is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute it for an eVoucher with equivalent value, subject to directions from a regulatory authority.
  • If the offer is not able to be conducted as reasonably anticipated, due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to: technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the extent permitted by law: a. to disqualify any individual; or b. to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.

              ALWAYS Check Econnex emails (check SPAM)

              Only have 1 month to activate MC after email!!

              Received my $200 MC from electricity switch on 2/12 in email received on 3/4.
              Then $200 MC from electricity switch on 23/2 in email received on 11/6.
              Both Activated within days & quickly spent.

              Normal time to receive is 120d.
              PM Rep Manyo ASAP if don't receive it.

                @INFIDEL: I have been checking, for some reasons the gas connection switchover took forever. I signed up for 2 separate utilities on the same day but received only one gift card. I have spam/junk forwarding on so I don’t miss on any emails.

    Much worse than previous deals that gave cash. Also inflated as you can bring a family to movies for a lot less than $180.

    • Thanks for the Feedback, Just to clarify the $180* value refers to 2 x Family Movie Vouchers, each covering admission for either 2 Adults & 2 Children or 1 Adult & 3 Children to the same G/PG rated Original session at Event, BCC or Greater Union.

        Going on the T&C "The eVoucher RRP is based off a full price ticket" I selected a PG movie to "not discounted (e.g. no Saver or Family Saver tag) session on the Event Cinemas website at a random cinema (it was Mt Gravatt in QLD if that makes a difference) and I got $85.80 for 2x Adult and 2x Child and inclusive of 4x booking fees. So if "You (“Customer”) may receive two Event Cinemas Family eVouchers " then you're looking at $171.60. Which doesn't look to me like it's "worth over $180" - and it's not based off of the Family Combo gift card @ $95/ea ($190 total) because that includes popcorn and drinks and this specifically "does not include Food and beverages"

        I can't find any Family eVoucher available for purchase that matches the conditions or RRP stated. I can find a blank page but there's no button to purchase on the MovieeVoucherFamily page.

        I'm still calling dodgy.

As for the RRP, please be assured that this has been included after discussing with appropriate team of the Event Cinema & Econnex. Also, the amount shown for tickets varies according to the locations that is why a maximum amount has been put up for 2x Event Cinema family voucher as worth over $180.

            @Manyo: You know what, I may not like it but you are also technically correct for some cinemas and session combinations. I looked at some other cinemas after your comment and I can get Ed Square in NSW for Lilo & Stitch at $93.80 for 2x Adult, 2x Child and 4x Booking Fee = $187.60 RRP

            I'll revoke the negative vote, but I'm leaving my maths.

          on the "does not include food and beverages" part… look at the image with the post. Definitely has at least one drink and popcorn in that picture. Not 100% dodgy, but also not entirely accurate

    As a single person…

    Who happily signed up for $175 MC through Econnex electricity Deal 2 days ago…
    And received 2 x $200 MC from previous Econnex Deals this year…

    With plenty of free unused movie vouchers from other Deals…

    And not wanting to wade through the avalanche of T&C…

    No incentive for me in this type of Deal🤔

    This seems specifically geared towards families.

    Cash through a mastercard can be used by anyone.

    Do not recommend you limiting your potential customers due to this type of offer.
