  • Does it require an ABN?

    ABN not required :)

    Before anyone asks:
Why are some of the business plans cheaper then the residential plans?

We Just got a better rate and wanted to pass on to new and existing customers.

    NO CATCH

  • Do you need to submit ID still?

  • +1

@fatty99 no you don't just DOB, and obviously AVC ID if you are churning

  • How hard is it to change the static IP if needed?

    • +3

would log a service request with our network team to make the change normally within the day

  • Any more updates on POPs for other states?

    • +1

POPs are in the next 12 months Layer 3 with ABB coming soon

  • @carboncomms in what locations do you have a pop?
Do you include any voip and DID with your business plans?

    • @carboncomms What about the VOIP & DID?

  • +1

    Sydney POP at this stage

    • What can i expect connecting from Bundaberg Queensland?

    • Any timelines for a Melbourne POP?

  • You should have listed 1000/100 for $99 as well

  • These prices rock, anyone have experience with this isp?

  • Very good price for 250/100 !!

I think 250/100Mbps is the sweet spot for asymmetric speed - most people don't do much upload, but when they do , the speed/time generally matters.
Its sad that most plans in Australia have low upload speed.

    • yar, it's $15 cheaper than my superloop 250/100. Tempted to move up to 500/200

  • When trying to signup, get stick at the verification code stage. Don't get the verification code to my Gmail and cannot click on resend code or change email.

    Using Chrome on Android 16.

Launtel have been great to me, not a single problem at all since I joined 2 years ago.
I'm very brand loyal and struggle a lot with change, but at these prices, I wouldn't even hesitate to leave them. Only showstopper is the lack of a POP in WA. Not a huge deal for browsing internet but my kids would bury me in the backyard if I do anything to screw up their online games.

Also, I love the online presence of Carbon in the whirlpool forums and on ozbargain. That (to me) shows a business that is customer focused.

@carboncomms, I'm not sure if there's plans to cover WA. But if there are, and there's a mailing list for when that happens, I'd love to be on it.

  • Is IPv6 supported?

    • IPv6 is not available.

  • What does the response time mean? I was out for about 8 hours twice over the last month because energex was replacing power poles (and didn't warn anyone). If I was on a business plan would anything have been different about that?

    • I'd also like to know the answer to this. Is fault restoration prioritised for customers on these plans or is it simply a case of being given a credit for an outage if lasts longer than the eSLA timeframe?

  • Any update on IPv6?
Also, do you just reject NTD upgrades or actually action them? Had an ISP reject an order because it would involve an NTD upgrade (already have another gbit service).

  • any similar deals for Opticomm?

    • Ah the old Mungi brand. I remember them

  • Will be churning to you as soon as PoP in TAS/Melb
