During previous JB deals, few people were able to get early termination charges waived off by changing the plan to $60 month on month plans.

Yes, it has been done for a couple of deals since last month.
Are they locked to telstra after change to month to month?

it really depends. Lately, Jb staffs have been adding a note when you take the contract like " Given Free Gift cards Etc" on contract note. I saw it when they were browsing the system.
I had a success by upgrading to the $80 sim plan.
However, my wife's attempt failed.
What was the result of your wife? ETC not waived?
Did not proceed with my wife's plan change when they tell me ETC of $380 would apply.
Do you just ask Telstra to change it from contract to month to month? How willing do they do this
What I said was "If I upgrade my plan to the $80 80GB Sim only plan, will I have to pay for ETC"
Rep says give him 2 to 3 minutes to check,
One rep said he will waive the ETC,
The other said I would have to pay ETC.@Right: So I assume you cancelled it right after switching to the $80 month to month sim plan? Meaning that you only paid 299+80 for the phone in total?
@puzzles2: If i port my number out from the month to month plan after change over, the plan ends automatically right or i have to chat to Telstra to cancel it?
I bought it today and changed month to month, i was also avoid ETC, took me 2 tries through chat to do it successfully

No that's P30 PRO.
That's the P30 pro, this is on par with P20 pro.

Anyone had success on abusing this deal to steal gift cards or discounted phones? Anyone? Anyone? the whole world?
Why is this an abuse when it's ultimately Telstra sole decision to waive the ETC fee on their discretion?
The fact that some rep reject and some rep allow indicates the call centre staff are not properly managed in Philipines.
Maybe they don't talk to each other and the QC is poor.

I made almost $2000 on the JB end of June hack. Took more than 30 mins, but less than an hour.Not sure why but I see you in every Telstra deal telling people how unethical this is yet you did it, not once, but 4 times.

How long does the battery last? Do you need to charge it daily? Support rapid charging?
Battery lasts easily over a day, has the fastest charging on any phone currently i believe
Does it mean i can join this and change to month on month plan and then cancel the plan after one month and only pay $299 + $65 for the phone?
