  • I have a Xgimi aurora projector which I think is affiliated with Xiaomi 3 years ago. It’s okay and does a good enough job but that was $600AUD. At this price point wouldn’t a OLED be better?

I bought a cheap phone 3 years ago from a company that may be affiliated with Samsung, surely it's as good as a galaxy s10. May as well buy an Ipad pro instead.

Yes it would. What's the market price for an oled that's over 120" these days?

People don't buy projectors for PQ. Size and immersion is where it's at

      • Up vote for truth. Still rocking my shitty 1080p projector and waiting for 4k ones to go down in price. It'll never compare to a TV for HDR and contrast, but decent spec projector in a dark environment is closer in feeling like watching something in the cinemas compared to a TV.

you won't get a 100 inch OLED at this price point.

  • Great price, wish i had a theater room at home.

    • If you had a home theatre room then you would want a normal throw projector. Cheaper and better image quality.

For these UST then you'd want an alr screen which sets you back another $1k+ depending on size.

  • note that this is the 1080p version tho. The native 4k version is going for somewhere around 3000 AUD

As has been corrected many times before it's not native 4k it's a pixel shifter.

      • What skysurfer said. Native 4k projectors are well over $10k.
